Battery in or out during winter.

I leave my battery in the bike connected to a Battery Tender in an unheated garage. It's an 2005 with the original battery. No problems to report.

    Steal Deal (IMO) Garmin 2730

I picked one up today from ebay. They're an authorized Garmin dealer and the unit includes the newest map set. What a smokin' deal. Thanks for the heads up Reno!

    Steal Deal (IMO) Garmin 2730

You can get the map for free, but you'll need to pay the $75.00 to unlock it when you load it on your system. The last I heard was that Garmin wasn't giving away any free map updates to Ebay purchased units. I haven't verified this info yet so don't take it as gospel. I would check check to see...

    The problem with motorcycling

Which is exactly why I ride a motorcycle. You know what you call a pilot with a code 3 (broke) acft? A pedestrian. Cheers, Derek (former maintainer)

I'm sorry I can't make it. Oncall this weekend. Maybe one of these times the stars will align. Enjoy!

SW Wisconsin get my vote. But, being from Northern MN I may be a little biassed as I can ride the roads up here anytime. The loop from Duluth to Ely via highway 1 is a great ride, but other than that and highway 61 up the North Shore there isn't much else. Plus it seems fitting to have the 5th...

    Run What Ya Brung

Congrats on the podium finish Paul. :clapping: And thanks for letting the rest of us tag along for the ride. I for one thoroughly enjoyed it! I know how you feel about the Chicago dog. I had a BBQ sandwich at a roadside stand in Mississippi for a bonus on the BL. The best damn BBQ I've ever...

    Personal Tire Mileage Comparison

Thats good to hear. I've got a set of Roadsmarts mounted and like the handling...so far with about 3,000 miles. If I can 10K out of em I'd be very happy. Wondering if you've ever run the ME880 and what kind of mileage you got out of that tire for comparison? That's the only tire I've managed to...

    SPANK rally report

Great report Jerry! And I loved your "never say die" attitude. Way to persevere in the face of adversity. Your experience will serve you well for the IBR. I'm blocking off a couple days now in preparation of reading your IBR report. :)

    We Lost A Great Friend

RIP Tim. I never had the privilege of meeting you in person but enjoyed your sharp wit and insight over the years. This virtual world we live in is a much smaller place without you. :****: The Mighty 190 and Hwy 36, 'The' motorcycle road, have been added to my list of must ride roads.

    Garmin 2610

The short answer to your question is Yes. I had this same thing happen on the last leg of the ButtLite. I created this route with 30 waypoints totaling about 2,600 miles. Got the route truncated message when uploading via Mapsource. I thought it may be a case of Mapsource uploading to many via...

Back from the IBA National Meet

It's good to know its not just us rookies making mistakes. I had an excellent time at the meet. Great seminars and great folks. I think I learned as much by hanging out and talking to the big dogs as I did in the seminars. What an opportunity to learn from the masters. Swapping strategies with...

    ButtLite IIIII

Thanks Paul. There were 2 FJR riders waiting for Grady to show up. I know my mug is still intact at the moment, but can't comment on Pete's. Hope I can make it to the scoring table with it in the morning.
