    Which seats ?

Are you so ungrateful in every thread, or did you just save it all up for this one? I ask simply because I have rarely seen such unpleasantry or downright ******* rudeness to someone who spent their time simply trying to help/ Just to add .. My tired, worn out and totally ******* useless...

Givi top Case confusion on 05'

It's an '05, he needs the SR346 as he identified. It's not cheap, it comes with the Monokey mounting plate and you will be happy with it.

Haven't seen this before, but I have a good idea on what happened .....

Firstly, I don't think you can separate the double-skins without further damage. If you want it to look really nice, buy a new one. If, however, a functional and decent looking repair is good enough, that can be done too. Get a piece of ABS sheet from your local plastics supplier. It is cheap...

? Rebuilt Fork is 1" Longer than the Other ?

Every time I ignored a "doubt" like that I end up having to do it all again. I am learning to satisfy my doubts as I go along, but it's a slow process.

LD Comfort Undergarments - One mans opinion OR My *** appreciates this magic

You should probably avoid "colliders" when riding a motorcycle.

LD Comfort Undergarments - One mans opinion OR My *** appreciates this magic

What? Riding the FJR doesn't give you a Hadron? It's all about accelerators, even for small particles.

    Which seats ?

To give this a little context ... I have a Gen 1 with a Russell seat. I have a 33" in-seam and can easily flat-foot both feet with a slight bend in my knees/ I'm guessing the height wouldn't become an issue for anyone with an inseam of 31 inches. For the short-arses among us, Russell can help...

Can you show us pictures of this, and maybe links to parts? Thanks

    Holding up calipers

Ahhh ... someone finally said it :) If those brake hoses aren't strong enough to carry the weight of a caliper for a little while, then we have a much more serious issue. Just make sure they don't bang into expensive painted stuff.

    Which seats ?

As was stated above, seats are a personal thing that depends not just on the relationship between the seat and your butt, but the style and type of riding you do. If you like to do regular, fast runs on twisty roads then a Russell is unlikely to be your favorite. The "wings" that are integral...

California Lane Splitting Guidelines Now Being Developed--UPDATED 5/18

Where lane-splitting is an established practise, cars and trucks mostly simply get out of the way, or hold their line. Rarely folk will try to close the gap but a couple of scrapes on their shiny cars and they learn. Squids are squids everywhere, no one pays them much heed except the EMTs who...

California Lane Splitting Guidelines Now Being Developed--UPDATED 5/18

So you are making good points, but let's not forget this practise worked (works) perfectly well under the current Cali. arrangement, part of which was the guidance offered by the CHP on their website. That was removed following a single complaint by someone who should have been ignored, but...

California Lane Splitting Guidelines Now Being Developed--UPDATED 5/18

The AMA might have a point. Currently, the practise is legal in California for the simple reason that it has never been made illegal, as it has in the other states. Generally we don't make laws to "allow" an activity, because anything not specifically proscribed is already legal. That is how...

    USB mounting

Nine hundred bucks and they can't even write a manual that explains the features. It's not good.

    Helmet closeouts

A PM to Bounce about how to proceed might have been better. A quick edit of the original post to flesh it out, and it could have been unlocked.

    '15 IBR Reflections

It never ceases to amaze me that simply following a rally tells you so little about what is actually happening to the riders taking part. The problems they have to solve, the struggles overcome ... the willingness to continue when anyone with a modicum of sanity would just go home :) Great...

    USB mounting

Are you sure. I read the 590 manual and it doesn't mention this feature ... actually, the manual doesn't even describe the sockets on the cable either. As I understand it, that USB socket is for a traffic receiver, but who knows :)

    USB mounting

I have two UBS outlets fitted to the "D" Panel. That's a circular thing like half of the unit you linked above. I thought about that unit but it's not easy to find panel space to mount it. Power is from the Fuzeblock. Be careful with those things, they are not all capable of delivering the rated...

    Going to the Dark Side

I'm fairly confident no one else will be using this tire. The popular tires are all described as "All Season, Performance". Usually they would be fitted to cars with slightly more "sporty" pretensions.
