    Lolo Pass

So why didn't the video embed? I used the "Media" selection in the drop-down BB-Code box Video appears in preview but not when saved

    Lolo Pass

During my 48/10 I made the rather foolish decision to include Lolo Pass for the crossing of Northern Idaho. It was foolish because it isn't just the 100 miles of that road, which is slow, but it puts you out of position for Washington State and Oregon. That then involves at least another 200...

    Going to the Dark Side

I am about to post a video of me, riding Lolo Pass, on a G-Max rear. It went round corners, it did not come off the rim, and it was fun even in my somewhat less than proficient hands. I did not crash, and die in flames and I reckon some folk need to ride more and worry less. By the way, when...

Many thanks. The last two days were tough with the heat in Idaho, Nevada and California. Made it though in about 9 days and six hours. I'll see the IBR Riders off in the morning, and head home ... about 750 miles, just a normal day :D

Twigg is in Motel in Needles, CA Barring complete disaster I have this ... but it is not done yet and I'm sore as hell. Slept at gas stations last two nights, posting has been difficult. Riding has too! Lolo Pass is awesome, but at 102F it is not for a trip like this. I forgot that if you...

Okay ... Day 4 I don't need advil guys, I have oxycodone :D Today I knocked out 900 miles to Beloit, WI, where I am holed up grabbing a few hours sleep. I could have carried on to Minnesota but I may as well ride in daylight. I felt as stupid as one of Barry's jokes, wearing $20 shoes from...

So a short day today. The boot issues got worse and I spent a sleepless few hours at a rest stop somewhere in America. This morning I met up with a couple of Facebook friends in Vermont ... Had lunch and rode some wonderful, but very, very slow roads. I am holed up in te worst motel since...

I just put this on Facebook: Holed up in a Super 8 in Roanoke, VA, that isn't very super :) Had some issues, not the least of which was a very poor plan. I knew it was poor from the planning stage, yet I let myself be persuaded (by me) that t was a good idea. The upshot is that I left home...

Redfish and Pop go to Arkansas

Nice ... love your reports, but where is the anguish, the fights, the stoney silence over route choices? Slacker!

Thanks. If I am on schedule i will be through Atlanta on Saturday. I have a long first stint planned because I need to hit Roanoake by around Saturday lunchtime. That's about a BBG pace.

    See the USA

Route 66 isn't as easy to follow as it used to be, but most of it is still possible. You need specialist planning to get the most from it, and this is a good place to start: https://www.historic66.com/

    Our first SS 1000

It's nice to get one documented though :) I made a rule, partly because the Certs are not cheap ... I would only add a Certificate if it was an improvement on the last one. So I have 1 x SS1000 and 1 x BBG. I have done a couple of In-State SS1000s and an SS2000, but I figured the BBG...

There is a problem with SpotWalla right now. It is not accepting my GPX track for the new route. In fact, it isn't accepting ANY tracks and I don't know why. Edit: New track is uploaded ... Jason is awesome!

That is because you are seeing an old version of the route. If I have time I'll load the new one, but I think the GSP is the only change.

That was kind of you to say Some have, very rarely, experienced my alter-ego He can occasionally be unpleasant but I try to slap him down when I get there in time. As for the LD Rider List ... Lots of egos there, including mine. What I will say is that few, if any, of those folk are quite...

Yes, down through Utah to Needles, CA would have been better. I picked that route because it cut 300 miles from my original plan. It only saved 4 hours riding time because the roads are not as fast ... but on a ride like this that usually means you see more interesting stuff.
