    I can see!....behind me!

I am looking at changing mirrors on my '06, and I am wondering if the FZ1 mirrors are also lighter weight than the stock Gen 2 mirrors are? Obviously the main reason for making the change is better field of vision, but I believe I read that the FZ1 mirrors are quite a bit less weight, and...

Yamaha Trunk for '06 or '12

I have the Yamaha trunk for either an '06 or a '12, since they are the same color. The truck comes with a the mounting bracket, and everything you need to install it. It has the backrest on it as well. The trunk does have one scratch in the paint, and I will be happy to provide pictures for...

CrazyKZ (Curt Gran) - 6/17/2012 RIP

I thought of my contribution as both a little something to help Cindy through what has got to be the hardest thing she has gone through in her life, and as kind of a payment for EZ-Bake, which Curt shared with all of us even though he certainly could have kept it to himself and had a huge...

CrazyKZ (Curt Gran) - 6/17/2012 RIP

I had several E-Mails back and forth with Curt during the last few weeks after my wreck at the end of the Bonzai, and then spoke with him for a few minutes before the start of the MN1K. I also passed him on the way to the first bonus location, but that was the last time I saw him, and it was...

    Stitch Roadcrafter

I have had a one pc Aerostich for about 100k miles now, and for the most part I love it. Above 90 degrees it is hot when you aren't moving, but what gear that will protect you isn't? One thing to note is that the new zippers ARE NOT WATER PROOF! they are certainly better than the traditional...

Auxiliary Tank Group Buy (merged threads)

Thanks Joe. I will have to research this a little bit, and get in touch with Alex. Shane, your set up is on a Gen 1 (at least I am pretty sure that is an 04) and i am not sure how different it would be for a Gen 2, but thanks for posting up.

Caution with Throttle Spring Unwind Mod

I want to thank everyone who responded to this thread. I recently bought a replacement '06, and the previous owner had unwrapped the spring by one turn as so many people do. The problem was that after I added my my G2 throttle tube, and some different grips there was no, I mean ZERO, return...

Auxiliary Tank Group Buy (merged threads)

New question for this old thread: Are any TAT fuel cell owners using the cell in conjunction with the Givi grab rails? I am thinking about making the switch to the Givi rails because I am concerned with the rear sub-frame not being strong enough for use with a trunk on a regular basis, but as...

    Make 'im ride *****?

The ride home on the "New" FJR was great. The bike felt good, nice and quick and nimble feeling since it didn't have all the LD crap bolted on to it yet. Also, it was the first time in 2 years I have ridden a motorcycle that didn't have a car tire on the back. I think I am going to stick to...

Current top of the line Auxiliary light set up?

Well, after a little crash I had at the end of the Bonzai rally, I can attest to how tough the Clearwater lights are. The bike took enough of a front end impact to completely fold one of the forks, snap one of the mirror mounts that the Krista's were mounted to clean off, and the lights are...

Is this JohnOCooper guy for real?

It is entertaining, that is for sure. Part of me wants to see him show up at the start, just too see what will happen, but another part of me doesn't want him anywhere near the start since he will just be a distraction and as a Rookie I will have more than enough on my mind as it is. Then again...

    Moonshine SS1K

Looks like I am going to have to skip this yet again. There just aren't enough weekends to ride everything I want, and be around for the family. "Next year."

Appropriate bulkhead fitting for an FJR fuel cell?

I bought all the fittings I needed from Sampson. Getting them all from one source was one way of ensuring everything would work properly.

Possible Dean Tanji Tank For Sale

I didn't think there were any Tanji cells made for the Gen 2 bikes.

    Moonshine SS1K

Curt Gran has set up a series SS1K cert rides for people who want to go to the Moonshine gathering: https://sites.google.com/site/mlrss1k/ You won't need a starting witness, and you can get your cert right away at the end of the ride. I am seriously considering this since the need to ride is...

    Team Strange 2012 Events

While that is possible, I again point out that they said the first stop for the 36 hours riders was within a 24 hour window from the start location. Hells Half Acre could be done in 24 hours, but it would be one heck of a kick in the nads.

    Team Strange 2012 Events

However, the Rally ******* has stated that riding to and back from the first bonus for the 36 hour format is possible within 24 hours. With that in mind you can make the distance to the first bonus a little bit less.

    Peter Hoogeveen

I thought the question was posted here so we could all start some crazy, completely unfounded rumors. At least that way sounds more entertaining to me.
