Loud Pipes (When Lane Splitting In California)

Riding a motorcycle is NOT a right, NEITHER is driving a car. But for some reason, riding a bicycle in a way as to impede the flow of traffic IS a right, seemingly along with riding a scooter that can only go 30 mph in a 55 zone. (By the way I am an avid cyclist, but always strive to make...

    Blue Ridge Parkway bypass-15mph

With the leaves starting to change color, the effective speed limit will probably be less than 10 mph.

Heading to Raleigh, NC looking for trip planning help

Of course you could always make the two hour ride down to Wrightsville Beach. Shouldn't be too busy and the water will still be warm. Whatever you do, watch out for deer. They're f**king everywhere (sometimes literally).

Heading to Raleigh, NC looking for trip planning help

This one is nice - not too intense and relatively short. Several residential areas, though. https://www.motorcycleroads.com/75/427/North-Carolina/Old-Liberty-Road.html about an hour from Raleigh, depending on where in Raleigh you are.

    New PIAA Slimline Sports Horn

Ah. I did not test the voltage while pressing the horn button. I am glad the horns don't blow when I turn on the ignition. That would have been embarrassing.

    Garauld Hiway Peg Mounting Plates

I just got mine installed - look and work awesomely. Thinking about installing a ball-nose-spring-plunger to keep it in the locked and upright position when not in use (instead of friction). These thingies: Not sure if I can drill and tap a suitable whole in the threaded foot-peg mount.

wtb: Bags Connection ring for '07 FJR

Are you looking for the part that attaches to the tank or the bag? I used to have a spare ring that attaches to the tank bag. I used it on a tank bag I preferred over the Bags Connection version. I should still have it around here somewhere.

    FJR rear rack design

Nice work, but QUICKLY do a search here on rear subframe cracks. Would it be possible to cantilever this out from the main frame and not touch the rear subframe?

    Time to paint bag lids

I'd easily drive several hours to deliver parts to Garauld for painting. His work is top notch - indistinguishable from stock. Unfortunately, I'm 12 hours away.

    New PIAA Slimline Sports Horn

I've seen the exact opposite posted here, but according to my multimeter(and double checking using a 9-volt battery), the PINK wire is POSITIVE on both sides when the key is switched on. Not sure if it matterns to the horn.

Have you seen that? (Moto A/C)

I think something that just blows ambient air up under your jacket/pants/undergarments would be worthwhile, maybe even pleasant.

Can a 2007 Police smuggler fit 2009 regular FJR

This is right. The "police box" sits where the rear seat would normally be. Only a very small portion overhangs behind the seat, and none of that weight is supported by the rear subframe, so should not be an issue. I have a set of the metal GIVI rails, and even though they are much stronger...

Can a 2007 Police smuggler fit 2009 regular FJR

I'm currently working on one I got from a Aussie FJR forum member. It does fit, but the rear rack.grab rails have to be removed. I'm currently working on a way to attach it to a rear seat pan to make installation and removal easier.

    Gixxer Bobber?

Is that a reference to the bike or the rider?

    Gixxer Bobber?

They should have covered the whole deal with the black high-temp tape. Then it would be a "professional" job.

    Overrun with Connies!

That's going to be a LOT of heat generated when they all start up at the same time.
