    Accessory relay not activating my

I left work at lunch today to find that my windscreen will not move. First thing that came to mind was that the rubber had wedged itself around the slider arms (as others have experienced). I found that the entire rubber part was just flopping around up in the nose, but, that was not the root...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

Thanks SkooterG. My next batch will be clearanced with an arc to allow more room for aftermarket changes. I will post up images of the slight change, but that should eliminate any concern of contact with the windscreen.

I will have another group produced. I've sold out of the mounts for the mirrors. Only had a few run at first.

Fantastic images Good2Go! Those clearances are too close to avoid touching at some point. I thought I had the worst case scenario with my vstream using the 1/4 spacer to tilt the screen back. My results were a bit more clearance, but not much. The mirror mounting holes in the brackets are...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

These are a light made by custom accessories and aparently also by Hella. ~$100 each with wiring and a switch in each box. I can't imagine that the Soltek's put out that much additional light if any. There are some on the board that have seen both mentied that they are very comparab In all...

I mounted the Gen I mirrors to my Gen II and they fit perfectly, howeve I have not tested them with FZ1 mirrors. I would assume that the FZ1 mirror is very similiar and would work just fine. The lights shown above are $100-109 each available at pepboys or O'reillys. The soltek's are still...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

Just picked up the parts from the Powder coaters. They turned out great. :yahoo: I will have to dab on a touch of black paint on the area where the hangers were used, but other than that they look too purdy to put on my dirty ride

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

Smitty made a bracket that had a bar across the front for support. That enabled the lights to be positioned in further. I could attempt to mount the light as close as possible to the FRONT of bracket similiar to that design, but I feel comfortable with lack of tortional load with this setup...

You are refering to these bad boys? I will take some better pictures with an actual camera and not my phone. Both of these items will be available for purchase later next week. Notice 2-26-10: Please email me if you are interested in purchasing either 1 pair of mounts or both mounts and...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

I just got back form the powder coaters. They will be able to run the brackets Wednesday or Thursday next week for me. I chose a flatter black since these will be quite a bit of abuse mounted to the front of our bikes. This is a very bad quality image from my cell phone of the mount. These...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

I'm not exacty sure yet. I will get them cut tomorrow or Thursday at the latest then I'll bend them up this weekend. I'll then rush them through our powder coating facility and hopefully be ready to ship the end of next week!

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

Well, I just finished up with the mirror mount bracket design tonight. This is revision 51 or around there. ;-) I wanted the top mounting surface to be nice and level. The light will be at least 1/4 of an inch from the shield or mirror surfaces. This will hopefully work on any bottom mounted...

Auxiliary light mounts and brackets from Alex

Things are finally starting to take shape. I purchased a new pan brake that can handle precise repeatable bends. I'm going to have some free time this weekend so hopefully I can make some long overdue progress on this project. I will post up my results. Sorry for dragging this out longer...

    Enlarging my fuel tank

Sorry for putting this on the back burner guys. Due to the crappy winter we've had this year, I’ve have 0 interest in riding lately. I've been inside remodeling my downstairs into a theater room the last 2 weeks. I know quite a few of you are following this tread. I will not disappoint.

    Bill Mayer Saddle

I have had both Rick and Bill Meyer saddle, and both vinyl and leather. If you wear riding pants and have a passenger, vinyl is the best option. Leather is ridiculously slick with synthetic pants on.

    The Redmond 1000

I attended last year's gathering in Johnson City and was definitely going to get to this year's gathering. This will just add to the fun. Miles City, MT will work out perfect as it is just outside the Black Hills where my parents will be watching my children. :exhappysmiley:
