Sure you can't do it with the head on? Pulling the head requires new head bolts as I recall. 50 years or so we did a few Triumphs with the HeliCoils and what chips fell into the combustion chamber just burnt off.

Stupid question but has the lever been off for greasing? If the little bushing (# 4 in the parts list) gets cocked it will create a slipping clutch.

The tire is a 14x2.75 rated for 90mph. I haven't found any tires for my Bushtec rated for anything higher! As far as the Skewer just don't think it would work with my Remus cans as my axle has put a dent in them already.

Thinking of one of these. Don't think they would work on the FJR but on the Super Tenere they will.
