What did you do to your FJR today?

Finished installing LED headlight bulbs. While garage door was opening the door derailed due to a broken magnetic switch. Spent more time fixing garage door than working on the FJR. Planning on spending the rest of the day drinking rye whiskey.

    FJR Tech Day XIII

We told Timmy how to fix his cruise. It's a very simple solution. Buy a '16 FJR. *******.

We didn't have the tool required to compress the fork spring to access the lock nut holding the cap in place. It would actually be very easy to fabricate one if we had some taps and some other materials that I have in my garage but it wasn't readily available at Andy's. You can buy the tool on...

Two ways to get the address. Find the Marysville sheriff and ask him where the town drunk lives. PM the Geek

I'll bring my acetylene cutting torches and we can cut Wayne's engine out of the frame. It will save some time on the servicing.

    BigJohn's 2017 BIG Ride

The older carbureted version KLR can be fixed using nothing more than a rock. Very simple design but the rear shock is a weak point. Many a KLR rear suspension has turned into a pogo stick after a hard hit on a pothole. I would consider doing a drop shipment of tires to Dawson City for the run...

    FJR Tech Day XIII

There are a number of vacuum lines that are associated with the throttle bodies. The usual place to start looking for a leaks if you have an autovox style cruise system is to disconnect the vac lines used for the cruise and block the lines. Then you can see if the symptoms correct themselves...

Did you get rid of that toy compressor? Do we have anything that will handle a impact gun?

Any discussion of the NAFO location in 2018?

NAFO on the Cabot Trail, Cape Briton Island, Nova Scotia could be an option, not that I'm volunteering or anything but I could help.

Real poutine does not travel well. The fries will be too soggy. The only place in Ontario to get good poutine is in the Ottawa Valley which might as well be in Quebec but the Quebecers won't have them.

Your slowness just would have plugged up the roads anyways. One less moving roadblock I have to deal with.

And Here's ANOTHER Gripe about Gen III FJRs

I'm just sorry that it is not Friday and I can't properly pile on.

What did you do to your FJR today?

Finished off tork rebuild (new bushings and seals). Replaced front wheel bearings and front brake pads. Replaced bent front brake rotor that got bent when the bike fell over in the trailer. Changed oil. Going for a test ride. Too hot and too dusty to ride the dirt bike in the Gany tonight so...

    Hooterville 2016 - Oct. 6-9

What this shindig needs is some poutine. This is the first FJR event that falls outside of the dirt bike calendar so I'm IN. I want to see that ******* HotRodZilla douse himself in gasoline again. This time I'll have the GoPro ready to capture the event for posterity.

    Generator Gas Requirements - Weird?

If it is a Chinese generator then something got lost in the translation. Our club bought some Chinese walkie-talkies and their manuals were like reading a 1963 Yamaha DT manual, very entertaining but hardly useful.
