    No Superhero

The guys weren't mad they were white as ghosts and stared straight ahead. I don't know, maybe they were intimidated. They were all too young to step foot into any bar. The question is, what do they see? I know that on the road, cagers don't like to be around bikes. It makes them nervous and if...

Could be, and boy would they be wrong! :(

    No Superhero

It's a cool, clear Saturday night and I figure traffic through town should be light enough to let me through so I head out for the city lights. I'm cruising light to light through the campus area and it's hoppin'. The light ahead turns yellow and I end up on the line beside a compact with four...

    "Therapy" Ride

You lucky California *******. I feel you on how great the FJR is. I've owned a bunch of bikes and I've basically just left them alone - no farkles, no obsessing. I've never loved a bike more than this one. I keep wondering if it will wear off but it never does. :D

    Big problem with Russell seat

It's settled. This is how I'm going to watch the OSU/Michigan game today. Plus, I'll take Fred's advice and drink lots of beer, too! :yahoo:

    Braking and ABS... I believe!

Gotcha Fred, if you're up to the limits of adhesion on the front brake, the back would go so light as any rear brake would lock it. I'm just thinking that the ideal would be to have as many wheels helping to haul it down as possible.

    That V-Twin sound

Yea, Mike. I don't like them loud and raspy. If they're muffled just right you get that deep, velvety tone.

    That V-Twin sound

This video actually almost had me picking up a '99 TLS. I'm in love with this bike, but sanity and fiscal responsibility took over and so I remain a one bike man. For now. The sound alone is worth the price of admission. CLICK The clip-ons on this bike are actually ahead of the forks. It...

Speeding ticket follow up- Thank the Lord

Feels great, I know. :D About a year ago, on my way to work I blasted past a cop in traffic. Didn't even see him. I was going about 90. He hits the lights and stops me. He walks up and asks, in sort of a disappointed way, "didn't you see me?", I said "No." He asked why I was going so fast, I...

2009 R1 might not be the prettiest looking bike, but

The sound is incredible. As for the looks, they're all going to the 'praying mantis' look. More technical than organic I guess. Looks great. Rider has a bit this month about the new GSXR 1000. Complete makeover. I can't wait for the comparo with our R1. The bike that lacks in looks, IMO, is...

    Braking and ABS... I believe!

Flat spot refers to the flat spot that can wear into a tire from locking it up, not the squaring off of the rear tire from normal straight line riding. :) I'd like to hear more stories about how ABS saved the day. I wish I had it.

    Big problem with Russell seat

Lets see, right now in Texas the temps are around 36° so you might be wearing insulated riding pants (very slick). I'd say give it some time, maybe try a short ride in some different pants. Just my 2 :)

    Braking and ABS... I believe!

The FJR's front brake doesn't bite-in hard enough for me to lock it up. The rear brake is a different story. It's very hard to come to a panic stop without locking it up. Just coming to a normal stop you can notice how much the rear brake helps bring it down. If I could only get ABS on one...

    Still in Lust

A couple of those look good enough to be cover shots. How many miles you got on her?

    Miles and miles all gone...

What in the world is going to happen when this bike needs to be re-titled! How does that work? Just askin'. I know when you get a new odometer for a car or truck, they have to set it to the right mileage.

    Winter Help

Great video! Helps me out (or, to imagine that I'm out) as the temps here are 19°. I'm going to bundle up like a space man and take her out today. What camera are you using? Is there a way to wire a mike to a different location? It would be nice to hear perfect FJR exhaust note other than wind...

    Dam (Oroville) and back

Nice pictures. Lots of good ideas on how to get the FJR into the shot.

    Oh Deer

I wanted to see what happened when it came down. It had to get over thirty feet into the trees.

    Oh Deer

It doesn't go right over him, but if it was it would definitely clear the rider! :clapping:
