LED voltmeter install question. '07 AEW

Reply to my own post. Took her out his morning. Temp in the low 40's. Tourmaster Heated vest (on low), Tourmaster Heated Gloves (on medium) and OEM grip warmers on about medium. I couldn't believe the draw from the grip warmers! I was in the green even when idling with gloves and vest but...

LED voltmeter install question. '07 AEW

This is to be used for heads up monitoring. I believe any "ignition on" circuit will do. It will work also if I hook it up to the battery but If I hook it up directly to the battery it will drain the battery when the bike is turned off. I actually ended up hooking it up to Randy's horn...

LED voltmeter install question. '07 AEW

Got stranded a couple of times this winter with a dead battery so I'm trying to install a Signal Dynamics LED voltmeter. Should be simple right? I'm trying to find an easy access point to a switched or ignition on circuit. I have removed the small panel behind the glove box o the left to get...

    AE u-turns

Best point made on this issue yet! The reason is the AE is incredibly easy to ride. It's especially great in traffic when frequent up and down shift are needed. I have an'07AE. Like all AEs it has a clutch, it's not an automatic! Its just a very cool electric clutch. I find it easy to...

    Neglected Winter Storage

Why park it? Enough dry days in the NE to ride on thru the winter. My rule of thumb.... wet icy really cold (<15 degrees F) leave her home. Otherwise with heated, vest, gloves or grips you're good to go. If parking only use sidestand for the briefest stops!

    Very Sad News

I feel your pain. Dropped my 3 days owned '07 AE showing it off to my barber. Was rocking off the center stand, had the front wheel slightly akimbo and in a sec both me and my baby were on the ground. Only the slightest scratch on the bike, very large dent in my pride. Regained that as I...
