Ok, back from an invigorating hike today, so I will look for something to challenge these world travelers.

SOLD!! Highway pegs and clamps $50 CONUS

I bought these pegs and clamps to put on my FJR with T-Rex engine guards, but ended up hardly using them.  My loss is your gain.  The clamps will fit 7/8 inch bars, which are supposedly what the T-Rex bars are, but I did have to use thin shims to keep the pegs from turning.  That's not the...

Can es shocks be rebuilt it so by whom ?

Hmm, I haven't heard of anyone who can rebuild the ES shock this side of the pond.  I have talked with several suspension shops - Traxxion, Cogent, a couple others and none of them have any experience on rebuilding an ES shock.  That being said - I have 140K on my 14 ES shock and it seems fine. ...

    WTB Centerstand 03, 04, 05

You DON'T want an 03 center stand. There was a design issue that would cause the center stand to fail. Mine collapsed suddenly and fell over on my truck. This issue was fixed in the 04 and later. I replaced mine with an 09, I think. So Gen I and II are compatible. But I don't know about...

    Gen 1 fuel cell

Don't know if this will helps, but this tank did fit on my 03 with the Givi rack and E52 top box.

    Gen2 frankentank

I can't remember what the dark tank (Chuck Lackey) capacity is - maybe 11+ gallons. I talked with Ron Messick, the red tank, and I think it's 10 gallons.

    Rear shock linkage maintenance

i haven't done the research yet, but was just wondering if there is much difference, or any, in the bushings or bearings on the rear suspension between the Gen III As and ESs.

Aux Fuel Tank Question:2006 fit on 2016?

Don - if that's the tank I sold you, it fit fine on my bike with the Givi rack. You must have a dorked rack

    Auxiliary Cell Design

Brady - check with dcarver. That's who I sold my tank to. It was made at the same time as Julie's. I have a Frankentank and am very happy with that. You might check with Harry Slaughter - dirttracker? to see if he is still making those.

Very interesting, seeing who went where.

Aux Fuel Tank Question:2006 fit on 2016?

The only caveat is if the tank has to fit between the brackets of the Givi top box mount. A tag-along tank will, like the two on the 14 FJRs pictured in the Iron Butt Rally. If you have the GIVI mount, make sure the tank is sized to fit.

No damping on Rear Suspension (2018 AS)

Pretty sure I have talked to these guys. While they can rebuild BMW ES shock all the time, they don't have the setup to talk to a Yamaha ES shock for monitoring performance. (at least that's what I understand). Hear the same thing from other's too. Hopefully that can change.

No damping on Rear Suspension (2018 AS)

Will be watching what happens with this. I have a 14 ES with 135K that I would like to rebuild the rear shock. At least possibly respring it. I have a ES shock assembly that was replaced under warranty from another rider, but have yet to find some one who can rebuild these ES shock. This...
