    The Void 6

I'll be there in spirit and wishing you all the best. I love the Void and wish I was joining you. Safe ride, everyone.

    no riser's rider?

I also tried risers and took them back off (same height as you, 20 lbs fatter). But, heck, it makes zero sense that a stock bike would fit everyone, so you gotta play and find what works for your body. I've always felt that kind of tinkering was part of the fun.

    underware

Just one more on the bandwagon. I've tried about everything -- bike shorts, padded bike shorts, underarmour and several other brands of high tech fabric wicking stuff. It's all better than regular tighty whities, but... LD Comfort tights just freakin' rock. They work just like you want them...

Pink smoke may be nice, but if you really want to impress your cruiser buds, install a set of these cleverly designed babies:

    The Big FJR Tire Poll

Yeah, this, though I voted for PR2s, so we balance out. Angels are on there right now because I'm on a couple year hiatus from LD rallying and wasn't going to take a long tour this year. PR3's will probably go on next because I haven't tried them yet. So, Fred, how the heck have you kept this...

Would love it if you could give us a heads up in this thread when that post goes up.

Front Brake Dragging Fix Attempt (Uh oh, that's not good)

This gets my vote as the winner. BTDT.

    AMA/DMG DiSalvo to Triumph

I heard elsewhere that the Latus team was tired of getting zero support from Duc and Triumph promised some engineering help. I'm not a big DiSalvo fan, but it was cool to see another Triumph on the grid. I hope they do well next year.

    tender recommendations

Nice info. But the simple answer is: Yes, it will work just fine.

    Steering stem nut

Don speaks near truth. The OEM stem nut is too thin for that application. There's also not enough space under it. I asked the Techmount folks to drill and tap one of their stem nuts for me.

    Stupid Oil Change question

So, just to sum up: Based on the experience of folks who have owned these bikes for years and taken them deep into 5 or even 6 figure mileage, you should (1) change it on the centerstand, or (2) the sidestand, or (3) both, or (4) hold it upside down while it drains. Hope that helps...

Penny for your thoughts - on tiger 800

All I can tell you is that it's on my want list and, according to the local dealer, they're pretty darn hard to get. Nearly universal positive reviews with a limited first run will do that. We'll see if availability perks up next year. Very interested to hear from the first person who rides one...

    shaft oil... tried searching.

    Yes and yes.

Nice new tool roll; what to put in it?

I use my tool roll when I work on the bike. That way, I not only know what I need in there, but I can drop the tools for things I don't know how to do anyway. Try that and you'll end up with a pretty efficient on-bike kit. (The notable and probably obvious exception -- I don't carry my torque...

Hyper Lights - Which wire is the correct one.

Yes, check out fjr-tips and get the multimeter. Both things are darn handy. In the meantime, the short answer: On most models I've looked at, the hot wire for brake light is the yellow one. I saw one report that it was yellow/green on your 07.
