    The Balkans 2015

Last September, I took my first European motorcycle trip to the Balkans. It was a step back into time to a region that had long been under communist rule. The cities are moving forward as fast as possible, but I enjoyed the slow paced rural areas and simply spectacular back roads and...

    RIP Beemerdons

Don Don, It’s been a hard day as you can imagine. Many of your friends still cannot believe that you are gone. I feel it will be a long time before this really sinks as you are still too present in everyone’s lives. I went to your funeral today. You would not believe how many of your friends...

    Huasteca, Mexico Revisited

Greetings! Here are the photos and stories of my recent trip to the Huasteca region of northeast Mexico, which we visited in March of this year. I have been slow in putting it together, but that has only helped to diminish the memories of the rain and increased the memories of the new and old...

    BeemerDonS crashes, is in hospital.

I visited Don early this week before leaving for our Mexico trip which he will not make. His Mac had quit and we talked about getting a new MacBook Air so he could communicate with everyone. I reformatted his hard drive, downloaded the newest OSX! So he was good to go. The facility he is in is...

Mother of All Mexico Dirt Bike Rides - March in 2015!

Upon reading the last post, I take part of it back. So as not to go down the dreaded drain hole, I am not "always behind you". This is backroad bob, not backdoorbob, as Don would remind you....

Mother of All Mexico Dirt Bike Rides - March in 2015!

Chris, since Don cannot make, I wouldn't worry about 30-40 mph. If he was coming, then yes, 70-90 mph is the norm. Besides, I am always the slowest rider, so I I'll always be behind you!

Mother of All Mexico Dirt Bike Rides - March in 2015!

Jim, $500 cash sounds pretty good. I would also take a credit card in addition to a debit card. Toll roads, tips, fuel, alcohol, food, add up pretty quick....
