    First scratch

Decals are not clear. Alex @BHM uses 3M black reflective vinyl. Tough stuff, fairly easy to apply and reflects great with night lighting. An alternative, is buying the same 3M material on Amazon and make your own reflective patterns. I've added some tasteful accents to my FJR and Tenere with the...

    First scratch

Cover with some reflective (Alex - Black Hills Moto) decals? How deep / bad are the scratches? Check for body parts on eBay and see what's available. Many options for replacement. Good luck! ~G

More RPM vs speedo but different...maybe

Keep the engine running 3k+ rpm and all is well. Plenty of roll-on power for passing along with a relaxed cruise. If you need more juice...yeah, wind it up and let'r howl! ~G

    US ECU in a rest-of-the-world 2009?

Since Yamaha changed the cluster to correct the instantaneous MPG read-out on early '06s, I'd say the assumption is right RK. With folks purchasing used ECUs for flashing, I've not heard of any changes to vehicle mileage when swapping between ECUs. ~G

Strange Issue...ABS Light Steady and Stumbling

If you can get the bike started again Charles, check charging voltage. Should be well into the 13's. Also check both connectors at the R/R and take apart and reseat a couple times. Maybe get lucky and just dirty. Stators have gone TU but failures seem related to continuous heavy loads. Good...

Strange Issue...ABS Light Steady and Stumbling

That's a new one Charles. Did bike start okay? Loose battery terminal? Headlights dim? Do you have aux light(s) wired into stop light circuit causing low voltage? Shooting from the hip now... At the Baker City Why Not event, a Tenere threw a ABS light for no apparent reason. Traced to a loose...
