All the people suggest not to park it in the sun, to use a cover, a film, etc. You should be able to park it any way you like and not have to do a darn thing.

Nope. It travels right to left in the video - my driveway. The first time it did it was at the AIMExpo in the parking lot facing the same direction. The 2nd time at my friend's office, same direction.

No one can help...with my case. If someone wants to try it out, please be my guest...just know what you are risking as far as downtime if you then want it replaced.

I documented all that in my vid. Temp isn't a factor, all three times they were days in the 80's. It just takes direct sun exposure for a couple hours here in FL at least. Up north without cloudless skies - probably a non-issue.

Update: The dealer now has no firm ETA, only 'about another week'!! :( Also, I have found a 2nd person it's happened to, this one in TX. He said he's waiting to see what happens with mine before taking his in.

It has all the info they are going to give you. Yes some things are left out and they still want you to go to a dealer sometimes. But it's a complete manual.

My '06 had a defective cracked 2nd gear that took it out.

I said in the video...look to see which one is painted. In my case it's was #1, others vary, check what your particular manual says.

Yes, as I said, it cools down after several minutes of riding. It's still not supposed to ever do it though. It doesn't do it while riding.
