Welcome. I also sold my 2011 fjr and was sorry I did. Now Have a 2016 and it is here to stay. Fj just does everything very well.

I have never seen that bike before, cool in a weird way.

When i was around 16 or 17 filled my 1978 Kawasaki kz650 with diesel and drove it home 2-3 miles. Realized something was wrong running hot and not right. Drained the tank put regular in and had no problems. Ever since i pay a lot more attention when filling up (no daydreaming).

Frustrating. Possibly cover it with a sticker or reflective sticker like some put on the back of their saddlebags? Touch up paint will help but certainly looked "touched up". I have thought about buying a beater bike to ride to work as I have a shiny bule fj like yours, older klr 650 maybe.

Odd but I just remembered When i was around 17 i got a ticket on my 78 kz 650. I noticed flashing lights in my mirrors and pulled over, he did not get a speed on me but i got a ticket. states it took him awhile to catch up as he had noticed me speeding a while back.

Wow, I would imagine the judge might even take your bike with that one. I do remember family trips though across Wyoming when the speed limit was 55. You could count the white lines they came so slow. Now its 80mph in Wyoming. How times change.

Just got back from Kansas City and found myself riding a bit quicker that i should have been. Was in lower 40's and the fj really felt like it had some extra go in that temp. I got rid of my zx14 because i really was riding way too fast and now i am finding I am still riding fast maybe 10 or...
