SFO 2020 - The Tradition Continues

For those of you who haven't made it to SFO yet this is a great event and well worth taking the time off work. Sadly it appears my vacation time for this year will be otherwise filled. 😢 I would recommend trying to drop a few pounds before the event as you will go home a few pounds heavier than...

    Mileage Maniacs

The flag is a new thing starting this year adding features normally associated with rallying like the Team Strange events or the IBR. https://www.mileagemania.org/2020 More details are listed here than on the FB page. I believe the postage will only apply to riders outside of the continental US.

    Drilling Fairing

Agreed on the step bit. I acquired one recently and now wish I'd just dropped the cash years ago and saved myself a whole bunch of grief.

    Mileage Maniacs

I've known Jeff for a few years from rallying in the Mason  Dixon 20/20 and the Void Rally. Real good guy and he puts on a nice ow key event. Moneys all go to a good cause.

North American Wild Card Moto-Tag Game

OCfjr, both of those locations are really close for me and I was until your post completely unaware of their existence. LOL. I'm only a few minutes outside of Harrisburg.  Years back there were several nice small town drugstores near me and in areas I'd much rather ride than our state capitol...

North American Wild Card Moto-Tag Game

I thought I knew where a small town drug store was with appropriate signage but alas it was not to be. Apparently the building has changed ownership and it's not even a drug store any longer.

    New Helmet

I've often wondered about that 5 year replacement policy myself. I'm curious if the policy might not be driven by racing organizations? I know NHRA requires replacement of most safety equipment on a regular basis. Seat belts and harnesses, helmets, etc. Could the helmet manufacturers just be...

Idiots guide to riding deals gap.

The number of times he narrowly missed going off road or crashing it was only a matter of time until it finally happened. Glad he didn't appear to be injured but damn dude, go take a track day or two and build your skill before you hurt yourself or take out someone else.

North American Wild Card Moto-Tag Game

Am I eligible again? I seem to think there is a "no tag back " rule but it's been 2 weeks?

Pathfinder's 100,000 (Cert.) Miles in 1 Year Attempt

Tony, in no way am I trying to diminish your accomplishments! Just figured not everyone here might realize others had done accomplished this.

Pathfinder's 100,000 (Cert.) Miles in 1 Year Attempt

If you check the IBA big list of ride finishers it's kind of surprising to see that 17 names are already listed. Tony might be the first though with 100k in cert mileage I don't know if they break it down that far.

    Steering Fall Away

Definitely take a look at what tires are on the bike and the condition of them. Additionally depending upon which model of Harley Davidson you're coming from you're likely accustomed to a 19 or even 21 inch front wheel so the 17 inch wheels of the FJR will handle a lot different.

How Many Miles Did You Ride In 2019?

Total miles 18,367. Breakdown like this: 2007 FJR 11,388 before its untimely demise at EOM  JD Smith added about another 1100 finishing the IBR on this bike. 2006 FJR 1150 give or take, coworkers bike who was recovering from surgery and asked me to use it so it wasn't sitting all season. I did...

    Cars

I was just at the Don Garlits Museum on my way to SFO in October. I would say if you're reasonably close it's a must see for a gear head. Lots of really cool stuff.
