    I Need a Compressor

I've got a Craftsman 33 gallon vertical tank model I got fro Christmas several years ago that I love for home use. I probably use it a couple of times per month and it's got plenty of power for anything I've ever needed to date. Vertical tank is definitely the way to go in terms of saving...

Stiffy Kit Gen 2/3 $55.00 SOLD!

Sold and will be shipping out tomorrow.

    Relay arm bearing time.

I'm reasonably certain a good TIG welder can fix that. Disconnect your battery and paranoid as I am I  would unplug the ECU at least. If the Gen 3 front fairing stay can be repaired that part should be pretty easy to fix as well. It might be easier to repair if you pull that whole subframe and...

Stiffy Kit Gen 2/3 $55.00 SOLD!

Used Garauld stiffy kit up for sale. I bought it used and had it on my 2007 which met an untimely demise at EOM this year. I installed it then later acquired a Givi SR357 and installed that as well having twice the reinforcement. On the new to me 2014 I opted to use only the Givi mount and am...

North American Wild Card Moto-Tag Game

So I looked at this today and saw the racetrack tag and decided I hadn't played for quite a while and I'd used a racetrack tag here a couple of years ago but there's another track not terribly far from me so I'd go grab that quick while we had a nice day. Dianne was going to spend a few hours...

Weird symptoms. Need your expertise please...

It does seem odd to have it for 4 straight fill ups. Gas stations usually churn through sufficient quantities that your first batch and the last are highly unlikely to have come from the same tanker load. Are you getting fuel at the same station every time? How is your idle after the bike is up...

Oil coming out of valve cover

I had the "fast starter syndrome" issue once and it definitely makes the bike sound weird as you try to start it. I seriously doubt that your engine is "shot" at under 6ok miles. For some folks on here that would mean replacing their bike every 2 years! Get your bike out of that shop and as...

    2020 FJR1300

I'm okay with the gold wheels but the gold stripe on the fuel tank has got to go. Color scheme reminds me of the  "Midnight Special" editions in the late '70s and early '80s. Curious with the number of European police departments as well as Australia using the FJR if Yamaha isn't going to...

    Relay Arm Stuck

What Fred said is dead on. I just dealt with that same issue on my 2007 a couple weeks prior to EOM. Use lots of penetrating oil and use one of the bolts to push it out.

    EOM, crickets

Dave, doing well enough. Dianne seems to have gotten the worst of it. Muscle spasms in her back and still really sore. Bike has already beed purchased to replace my '07. I found a clean one owner 2014 less than 2 hours away form me and have already picked it up.

    EOM, crickets

You missed my wreck. Some ****** in TN made a left turn around a tractor trailer that was turning right and I drilled him head on. Totaled my bike.

2007 FJR on the sale block!

You might want to at least list an asking price. Maybe post a picture or two. GLWS

    recall

Contact a Yamaha dealer and give them your VIN number. They can check it and tell you if there are any outstanding recalls.

Pathfinder's 100,000 (Cert.) Miles in 1 Year Attempt

My personal record on my Gen 2 is 76 miles with the fuel light taunting me and I put in 6.587 gallons. I regularly run 40-50 with the light blinking under normal circumstances.Headwinds or sustained higher speed I cut that back to 30-40. Fortunately haven't had to push this bike yet.

    Help with 2003 Forks

HRZ, I replied to your thread on the other forum but since this is posted here I'll chime in. If you can, get me measurements on those scratched up upper tubes. ID x OD x length. I work for a hydraulic cylinder repair shop and since this has been brought up if you get me these measurements I can...

Front tire cupping, recommended tire pressure?

I'm not sure we can really do anything about the front tire cupping no matter how diligent we are with pressures. I think the dual compound tires just do that because of the nature of the dual compounds. I do agree we can minimize it by upping the tire pressure from what Yamaha recommends. I...

    Relay arm bearing time.

I posted these in the other forum but felt I should share them here as well. These are what came out of my bike at 125k miles without being serviced. Of course this is the bike that carried me for the 680 consecutive day riding streak in PA and as such it was ridden in rain, some snow, and...

    Scotch or Bourbon?

^ Speaking of bad Southern Comfort memories. I know I was underage yet so far as legally drinking. I had just recently bought a used truck and learned the hard way I'd gotten taken. Changed oil in it and wondered why what I drained looked so damned thick when I changed it. Started it with fresh...

    Scotch or Bourbon?

Bourbon for me or rum is good too. I just can't develop a taste for Scotch. Tequila? No thank you. Bad memories from my youth.
