They wouldn't let me in, but I guess that's because I'm English

Difference in triple clamp US versus Canadian

The European version (I believe it's the same for Canada) has a larger hole in which to mount the ignition switch. This is due to the immobiliser that is fitted to the Euro version.

Don As much as I would like to join you my bank balance is still recovering after this years excursions. Maybe I'll get a chance to come across later in the year as I would really like to visit DV again, or maybe the North Rim Grand Canyon

    Google Maps vs MapSource

Looks like google uses decimal degrees so I would try grid=Lat/Lon hddd.ddddd and leave datum at WGS84

    wallawa lake

I started (and finished) my tour there last September. Outstanding place with great roads and scenery. I do not know if the weather was exceptional but I was blessed with constant sunshine and 90 deg apart from a few storms in Yellowstone and through Montana. I just need to save for another year...

New Helibar Group Buy (Ends June 30th 2009)

Mine arrived today and even after being charged customs duties, VAT and a adminstration charge by the post office it came in £70 (about $105) cheaper than buying from the UK importer about 50 miles away. So many thanks to 2006FJR for arranging this and to all those who joined in making the 15%...

New Helibar Group Buy (Ends June 30th 2009)

Would I be able to purchase the European version (HRT076ES-2) in this group buy.? The price from the official UK importer is GBP 339. Even allowing for import duties, VAT and shipping it should still be cheaper

Photo speed radar coming to California?

This is the way that newer fixed post cameras work in the UK. We also have cameras that work out your average speed over a distance of up to two miles by registering your plate number. The next generation is even worse, by combining a network of the above cameras and sharing info between them...

    What? No New Zealand region?

I have tentative plans to visit in Feb 2010 to attend the TT2000 rally. The organisers have suggested this rental company and the flights from the UK are not that expensive and go via Los Angeles. Of course in the present climate 2011 is a more realistic possibility.

    White Stag 2009 ~RenoJohn~

Although it was the one place I REALLY wanted to visit during my vacation last year I only managed one day in in the valley, but its a magical place and one I will visit again, maybe at White Stag 2010 or 11 as I found the 115F in September a touch too warm for my taste. Maybe I'll get the...

    orestes' American Adventure Slideshow

It was one of those trips where you stop for a photo and then find an even better view around the next corner and I tried to keep moving if I could. It's not just cramped, but cold and damp and I'm missing the constant 90 degrees that I experienced in the first two weeks.

    orestes' American Adventure Slideshow

Sorry about that, it was all done in a hurry. Eventually they will be posted on one off the hosting sites but this was the first chance I've had to go through some 800 photos since my return and it bought back so many wonderful memories that I just had to share. I also have some on bike video...

Add to that Crater Lake, Yosemite, Death Valley and Hells Canyon. I also met up with the IBA at their Ride to Eat in Boise You can find the route here. There were a few variations especially in California and Nevada and I ended up doing 6200 miles over the 22 days and still didn't get to see...
