    Australia

Thanks a lot, Steve, very tempting indeed. Now the main question for me is whether it makes sense to cover Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in 16-17 days? Would it leave enough time to explore these cities and surroundings properly? Will go and buy myself a Lonely Planet or something like this...

    Australia

Yep, for sure this is far too short time frame to see Australia properly. The issue being that this place is so, sooo.... far from us that most probably it will be our only trip there in this life. Sure we want to take maximum out from this one and only occasion. No, riding is not priority, it...

    Australia

Thanks a lot for many good answers so far. Well, this is exactly the hardest part to start from- which part? I wish I knew. Yes, I am currently doing research, the thread up here being part of it. Right now I am thinking of spending some time around Sydney (Blue Mountains, etc), drive or fly...

    Australia

Just bought tickets to Singapore with the final destination to Australia. We plan to spend some 2,5 weeks in first half of April 2016 there with my wife. The only small problem being that we know not much about that part of world. I've seen quite few Australian guys around here, so some good...

    Recognize your dealer

Yamaha Keskus (Center), Tallinn, Estonia. Great guys, excellent service and capable mechanics. I do not have proper conditions (space, tools, motivation) for servicing my FJR at home, so I prefer to take it there for most of the issues. Never had any problems there, all works perfectly done.

    It's NOT preload!

I had not ridden the FJR for few weeks as I mainly ride Vstrom in a city commute. A couple of days ago I took FJR to work. Strange enough, in low speed turns (on roundabouts) it wanted to turn the front wheel more into the curve than needed and I had to use quite some force in order to keep it...

    sena owners I need input

I used to have the same problem with Zumo 660 interrupting my conversation with wife. I just muted the gps instructions through the mixer mode on Zumo 660. Still continue listening to music at the same time and follow the map visually. I also used to have a problem that sometimes the sound...

Big Hit in Eastern Wyoming, Healing the Weeks After a Get Off

Bad luck with the sheep and good luck that you are doing reasonably well. Clavicle in 3 pieces is not a good thing at all. I've had that, it is important to do proper exercises while healing, otherwise the shoulder joint has a tendency to get stuck and then you won't be able to rise the hand...

PC III and O2 Sensor Question

I have PC V on my 08 and in the beginning the Yamaha guys, who installed it, did not disconnect the O2 sensor. I was pretty disappointed to the bike's behavior as it did not cure the throttle snatchiness. Until I found out that the O2 sensor was still there. So after unplugging, bike became...

    French Atlantic coast

well, she definitely made a right decision. I have been in Paris many times and it is a wonderful place. The beauty with France is that it all does not end there.

    French Atlantic coast

After La Rochelle we continued to the Bordeaux region, passed few cute towns and took a ferry over La Charente river We opted to stay at a sort of wine centre called Pouillac, but that place did not leave much impression except for this kind of vehicle with 3 wheels like a trike, although...

    French Atlantic coast

just returned from the 2 weeks trip to the Atlantic coast of France. Many of you probably know and have been at French Riviera on Mediterranean, Cannes and Nice. Well, the Atlantic resorts are way higher class and majestic than those. Here's a short report. Ready for take off, all packed for 2...

    Finally I decided to upgrade

That's one good looking bike! Maybe I will also upgrade mine one day. For the moment I still have only 54 k km on my 08 and the trade-in offers are miserable.

trip advice Europe: La Rochelle - Bordeaux -Bilbao

I am planning to spend a week with my wife on the bike around these places in France and Spain in early June. Anybody been there and can advise must-see/ride places? Also good accommodation ideas are mostly welcome. All suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Running a little hot, I think I know what's wrong, now what?

I did the same trick to my radiator, with the power washer. Was also worried about overheating, bought the fin brush, but could not use it on this radiator. To my luck, even if I have been riding in really hot conditions like >+35 C in Italy in slow traffic and the kind, the bike never came...

    V-strom: big difference

Today I had a first chance to have a longer ride on my new buddy, about 2 hours or so. What a difference compared to Feejer! In one hand it is much more nimble, really easy going in twisties and parking place. However, on a bumpy road it takes all the bumps pretty hard so that your body feels...
