    'Unauthorized' TB synch

Removed the PAIR and installed the Wynpro plates the other day, did the sync after that again, bike seems to run smoother than ever. No popping.

    Does vib at 2500 and 3500 signal a problem on a 2013?

The noise from the front of FJR-s appears to be a common trait, there have been many threads about it. Nobody really knows where it comes from, some say from tires, some say from front brake rotors, some say from front cowlings... The only thing we know is that the noise is there and you can't...

The Jerkiness of Jerky Motorcyle Throttles

The best thing against the jerkiness is the Power Commander 5 from Fuel Moto, they can supply it with the smoothness map for you if you ask for it. It made my FJR smooth as butter, before it it was as bad as you describe. The G2 did not help much, I installed that also before went for PC5 .

    FJR vs. Bear

Damn! I had just ordered the plates from Dave, but now that they appear to be the bear bates, I would need to think that all over again. We do have enough bears here as well... In the other hand, it can also be that the plates saved you from the worse instead. Now that's the dilemma!

    Drivetrain lack of lubrication

Bravo, exactly my thought! Why would anyone be worried about the rust on the drive shaft? It would take couple of hundred of years until it really makes any serious harm to the forged steel ...

    engine vibration above 4k

Recently returned from a 8000 km trip, before that did the TUTBS. Did not change much, the engine vibes were well noticeable on 4000 + rpm. Good thing is that most of my riding was at 3500 rpm, or 5000 in twisties, and there it was really good. I also had a chance to try couple of other bikes...

    Trip to Eastern Europe

And now finally Moldavia, the target of our trip. We arrived late in the night, so did not see much when arriving, but next day we saw this from our hotel window and most of the country leaves a similar impression, although there are also some nice places to be seen, one of them being our...

    Trip to Eastern Europe

Well, we had an opportunity to drive some 20 km on a brand new autobahn in Romania where for miles we were the only vehicles. No doubt we took an advantage on that and I managed to get 185 km/h on my bells. FJR could easily do more, but I was myself a bit worried if the road is really as good as...

    Trip to Eastern Europe

There were other 2 very nice places we that we passed in Romania. The first was Sinaia, where is also the palace of the last Romanian king And here's the palace Another remarkable place is a small town Sighisoara. In fact, all these nice towns I have mentioned, are a sort of German...

    Trip to Eastern Europe

So, after nice wine testing in Hungary we continued to Romania. In fact, we passed Romania twice, so I sum up the country here in one go. The East Romania met us with rain and pretty crappy roads long villages beautiful views and nice lodging Next day Sverre's Kawa decided to make...

    Trip to Eastern Europe

In May we did a 17 day trip with my friend Sverre from Baltics to Moldavia, travelling through Poland, Slovak, Hungary and Romaina. What a great trip! Let me share some pics with you in the following. The first pic we managed to take on a stop still in Estonia. After that we fast-tracked...

    'Unauthorized' TB synch

Went for a short ride but did not feel much difference with the situation before. In fact, I start feeling the vibes only after a day long drive, so it has to be seen. By the way, the adjustments altogether were not more than 1/2-3/4 turns per screw, so not sure how much in the end did I change...

    'Unauthorized' TB synch

Ok, so after long (few years) hesitation I finally did the job today, took me 3 hours in the morning and some angry glimpses from neighbourhood... However, it was not at all as straightforward as I expected it to be from the writeups. According to 3dogs above, you should balance the cylinders...

    1st Time Feejer!

in regards to shifting, I would suggest to use your index finger for both up and down shifting. If you use thumb for down, I bet that every second time you hit the horn instead. And where are the pics of your new bike? Forum rules: no pics = it did not happen!
