Fred....keep up the good work. It may make some sense here to call Yamaha's technical customer service and let them know how abrubt the throttle is. Also, refer them to their own seel sheet that ...Revised throttle cable pulley gives lighter-action throttle pull. I don't have an 05 to compare it...

Like I said...the bike is in the dealer because it's idling rough and running rougher...jerky. It wasn't like this when I first got it. Something is out of sync......I have tried going to the higher RPMs after the bike was fully warmed up but the engine felt grindy and vibeee. I will wait and...

Painman....you say they allow the bars to be wider. How exactly is that so? I know there are 3 sets of parallel holes for the 2 pins under each bar. Don't you have to use the pins in parallel? Or can you use one hole from one row and one from another?

I guess that "too fast" would mean faster than you would have been able to go and safely avoid an accident. Accidents suck. Been there, done that. Similar situation for me on my old cruiser. Sight-seers decided to park in the driving part of a lane. I wished I had ABS back then.

I don't have one, but isn't that a bit pricey for such a small capacity?
