    '06 buzz through the bars

WRONG!!!! But like I said,,,," I luv this bike and I hope the buzz either goes away with use or my brain learns how to numb my senses... Otherwise, I'll have no choice other than ask Yamaha to buy it back as I mainly ride in the 4500-5000 rmp range... Maybe I could put a turbo on it,,,that way...

    '06 buzz through the bars

So, Yamaha Corp, their Reps, thus the dealers have all known about the little buzz problem this engine produces all along, and rather than spend some money redesigning it, they just keep making it, and took the attitude "IT'S YOUR PROBLEM", huh. That's probably why the dealers won't let you...

Is a power commander worth it ?

In an effort to get the buzz out and to enjoy the bike running at 100% I inquired about putting a Power Commander on my new 06 AE while visiting the parts counter at the dealership....The young juvenilles behind the counter told me it would be a waste of money unless I upgraded the exhaust...

    I've got a dream

What I want to do is to put my passport 8500 radar & Laser dectector inside the highlights. That way, they'd be secure, hidden and I'd have top notch reception.......anyone know if it's possible to get inside of em..

    OK, I'm sold! BUT--05 or 06??

I think from reading all the post, the answer is definitely get the 06..No you have another question to ask yourself...Do you get the A or the AE.... I've been riding for 40 years and have never experienced anything like the F1 shifting on my AE.....I have never had so much fun riding a...

Thanks everybody, in 30 minutes I've learned more about GPS than I ever wanted to know......What I didn't know is, how much the freaking things cost...I was totally supprised to see em up near the $1,000 range !!!!!!!!!!! What's the best GPS in your opinion

I took your advice and checked out Garmin's site....it appears the satelite receiption if for XM only...I'd only be interested in a GPS with Sirius.......I know Sirius is dangerous to listen to riding a bike as many have fallen off their bikes laughing to hard from listening to Howard Stern, but...

What's the best GPS in your opinion

What a hassel it is to have to stop and ask for directions....Yes, I enjoy getting up around 5 AM Sunday mornings and getting the hell out of the city.......unfortanately my couriousity takes me where I can't find my way back without having to stop and ask for numbnut for directions.....So,I...

    Shifting the AE Model

The throttle isn't the problem....it's coordinating the throttle blimp with the the trigger shifter...The trigger shifts so much faster that you have to re-coordinate reflexes to a much higher degree.....I think it's engrained in us mentally to come off the throttle with the clutch is pulled...

    '06 buzz through the bars

Everybody is giving us S--t for complaining about it, but after owning Hondas for 40 ******* years, I guess I''ve gotten spoiled....cause that buzz on the footpegs to me compares to sticking your foot in a bucket of water plugged into a 220 outlet as it's sorta hard to ignore. Then on top of...

Maybe the FJR ain't God's gift to motorcycles after all

Ok, I'm gonna stop my bitching an just wait for HONDA to come out with a Super Sport Tourer....Besides, knowing my FJR will be in my garage for only another year or two should not only help me to tune out the buzz, but will definitely be a big mental relief knowing I won't have to deal with...

    '06 buzz through the bars

I was thinking maybe filling up the handlebars with liquid hand soap and putting a dispensor in the end. My not help the Buzz, but that way I could wash my hands off at the pump after gassing her up without having to go inside to use the bathroom..

Filling the bars with BBs? If you did that, it sound like a rattlesnake coming down the road!!!! Huuummmm, maybe that'd be a good deterent for deer and other wildlife that might get in your way!!!

Ok, the wishlist thing.. 1. a storage compartment that'd hold something beget than a pack of cigarettes.... 2. A NAV system that would inter-phase with the info display screen 3. A built-in BLue tooth communications system enabled w/Phone & Sirrus, with optional Helmet w/speakers &...

    Is Yamaha Listening

BWWAAAAAAA! Yea, contact the dealer? I wouldn't trust anyone at the dealership to be able to distinquish their heads from their ***** when it comes to my FJR...unless we're talking JETSKIs which is all they seem interested in......The guys working on the jetskis is a 50 yr old dude that knows em...

    '06 buzz through the bars

I agree with you sorta, but then again, I feel when you're getting into these rpms, a buzz is that last thing that should be diverting your concentration away from the road....as I just returned my second ride today......the bike feel like it was at home in the 4500-5000 RPM range.....not only...

    White Pine Fever

A 1,000 mile in one day? My god man, get real! We need to get used to this type of riding before we go kill ourselves....I was thinking about maybe a 200-300 miler would be nice ride, that way we'd have time to stop for a few beers, BBQ and a couple of bong hits along the way...If we get the...

    White Pine Fever

Thanks, that kind of riding is almost unfathomable for most......If you could at least give us some of the issues encountered during that length of a drive.......We'd be most grateful...like do you ever eat, sleep or ---you know ? 2,000 miles in a day? that's riding an average of 84 mph for 24...
