I've been to a few events where they will do a whole pig on such a trailer. It does take all day, but doesn't require all that much babysitting.

I had this exact problem with my '03. I would ride up to the line to get on the ferry, shut the bike off, then start it back up a few minutes later with great difficulty. The clock would reset to 1:00 when an event like this happened. A new battery solved the problem for me.

This is better handled in an empty garage with a reciprocating saw and a grinder close by. If you have to cut any bolts off, the noise and flying sparks won't be popular with bystanders.

I think you'd have a much easier time getting the bike out of your garage if you traded forks/shocks with another Gen2 owner (getting $1500 out of them in the process), then reducing the price of the bike accordingly.

If I was in your shoes, I would go for an 8000 RPM ride for an hour or so, let the engine lock up, then let the dealer and Yamaha figure out when they are going to give you a new bike. You've been through too much to put up with this BS.
