FJR Unsuitable for Passenger with Top Box Fitted?

I also have Hepco & Becker Journey TC52 top case. Anybody knows if the Givi frame fits for this?

What did you do to your FJR today?

There was a 25 % discount on all stuff in one of the stores here so I bought this https://www.givi.it/soft-luggages/Tank-bags/T480-TANKLOCK . I hope I can mount it so that it works together with the tank cover, I had problems with the magnets of the old tankbag not sticking strong enough through...

    Riding in Central Europe

What do you consider as central Europe? Germany and France? These are very fine countries for FJR or any other bike, if you avoid motorways, you'll find a lot of nice curvy side roads with excellent quality and wonderful views, I spent a month last summer riding around there. French Alps are...

A few Questions for all AE Riders

Can also be that I have never done it fast enough. Can't try it now as there's still a bunch of snow on the roads, but somewhere in May i will be able to check this out. So perhaps you are still right.

A few Questions for all AE Riders

I've never experienced a problem like this.

    AE vs. A?

It is a matter of taste, I would say. By manual it is recommended to ease the throttle a bit for the shift and most of us riding the thing are also doing so. But you can also simply hold your throttle in acceleration and it still shifts very, very smoothly, in fact it does it in a very cool way...

    AE vs. A?

Well, I have never driven A, but due to the lightning speed gear change of AE I believe you get a new gear on faster. And you can comfortably do it also in the middle of a curve with no issues. Like F1. In terms of power, torque and suspension/handling they are identical.

    Sena SMH10R

Wow, another nice piece from Sena, thanks for posting! I too have been running the SMH10 the last 3 years and am very happy with that, but the R looks much neater indeed. I wonder what are the other differences with the SMH 10 besides the size? Is it any better or worse in terms of quality...

    Periodic winter start ups ?

I do exactly the same except that my bike stands in a car shelter with temps going down to -25 C in some months. Still no problems in starting it up in late April with regularly charged battery. Also I do not see any good reason from engineering point of view why to just start it during winter...

Which is the correct height of a Laminar Lip above the Windshield?

I had the same problem with OEM touring shield, was afraid it would blow the lip away on a motorway. Drilled holes in the middle of the stickers and fastened it with 5 mm bolts/nuts just in case

1st nice weather of season, hop-on-n-ride...

I am jealous to see some people can ride. By the way, why do you have that red mailbox tied to the antenna in the rear of your bike? To receive instant e-mails?

Which is the correct height of a Laminar Lip above the Windshield?

It is actually not so important how much the lip is over the windshield, it's purpose is not to increase the height but to direct and shape the air moving over. So pretty much the shape of the lip will do the job and wether it is 1 or 2 " above makes no big difference IMHO.

AE blinky 'Shift' light, Runs Rough, Won't shift into first, around 26K miles, etc.

Many thanks also from here, now I know to keep away from Rotella. I have only been using Yamaha original recommended oil so far and will keep on doing so. The trouble in shifting is the last thing I need.

    Under Seat Storage Compartments

I can confirm that the space under the passenger seat is meant for the u-bolt lock and that is what I use it for. There is no lock included in the European bikes from factory though.
