Parts For Sale Gen 2 OEM Windshield - Free + Shipping

This windshield has only about 7,000 miles on it. I immediately upgraded to a VStream when I bought the bike and it's been sitting in the basement the entire time. It's in good condition but it needs to go. It's destined for the trash bin if someone doesn't want it here.

Sold STS Harnesses for Gen II FJR1300s $10 plus shipping

I'm about to attempt an install for a friend's Tracer 9 GT. I've been digging into what connectors I would need to do something similar to what I did with mine. On the surface, I think the 13 pin connector is the same between the 2016+ FJRs and the Tracer 9. I would be willing to make two...

    Horn 12v+ trigger-2008: which wire?

Since nobody answered your question, yes, the horn is ground switched.  If you need 12V, you'll have to put in a relay.

    Turn signal cancel module

Probably late to the party and you already put something on, but I added this one to mine https://safer-turn.com/smart-turn-system/ and am pretty happy with it. There was a write-up on it, but I can't find it on this forum. Here's a link to it on the other forum...

News - Harley Davidson Speaks to Declining Bike Sales

    2. Can't get their phone to their ear with a helmet on. False - Phones are not used for calling people. 4. They don't get a trophy and a recognition plaque just for buying one. False - Parents of millenials are the ones who can't stand their kids not getting participation trophies 8. They...

Took a shot at modeling a FJR keyring - First print attempt turned out alright

I'm going to try and get a batch for EOM. We'll see where we go from there.

Took a shot at modeling a FJR keyring - First print attempt turned out alright

My modeling skills are limited at best. To challenge myself a little, I tried doing a FJR keyring. There's still some work to be done, but I'm pretty happy with the first print attempt. The model is such a way that I think I can make it look like a Gen 2 or 1 easy enough. Why did I chose...

Ride around Lake Michigan - worth it?

Just did the route from Muskegon to Traverse City two weeks ago. If you're heading north from KY into Michigan, you can run the Red Arrow and Blue Star Highway. It beats the slab for the most part, but you won't find any good twisties in Michigan at all. Best turns you have are on ramps to...

Where to park my Truck & Trailer

We make arrangements with the hotel. It's usually a 2 night stay (1 there and 1 back). If they say no, we move on. Nobody has said no. About the only request we've had was to separate the truck and trailer so we only occupy two spaces. I've also used Park N Rides without issue before.

    Some 3D printed gifts

The dimensions are 9.84 x 8.3 x 8 in. Not many things that I want to print that are outside of that. If there are, you can get creative with printing in multiple pieces. The useful prints are the ones that give me the most satisfaction. I'm getting better at modeling things. Still not great, but...

    Some 3D printed gifts

My son asked for a snowman toy for Christmas. Do you want to print a snowman? Speaking of ice, this was another neat Christmas present. The lever that tells the ice maker to stop making ice broke on my brother's freezer. Broken one shown on the right. I was pretty proud of this one simply...

    Mt. Washington Sunrise

Here was my view when we went up a year ago. I'm surprised that there was enough visibility to even take this picture. Obviously you have a much nicer view than we did.

    J&M Socket Permanent Mount Suggestions?

The red circle is where I have mine mounted. It's zip tied to inside the fairing and the little tail just hangs there. Works pretty well. Not sure on a Gen 3 how accessible that spot is. But from a usability standpoint, I've had no issues there. The passenger plug still hangs out near the...

    Gold Wing update....any news?

The 1500 was the pain in the ass to change the rear tire. The 1800 made it 100x easier. That's when our local shop took their sign down.

    Gold Wing update....any news?

My dad has a 1999 Goldwing 1500 SE, but I don't really care for it. It's got all the bells and whistles on it, but it is not suited for me. You need T-Rex arms to drive the thing, which can make slow speeds a real bear. But he loves it, which is what matters. We drove down to a demo in 08 to...

Fly and ride questions / Information

I had a trip all lined up like this to get my first FJR. It was for an 06 with 20,000 miles on it and KBB had it valued at $9k, but the bike in Atlanta was at $7500. Guy sent me pictures and assured me everything worked. That was right at the time that Delta and Northwest merged. I could fly...
