1,000 miles in a day is easy in most regions. People do it all the time. Some do 1,500 mile days. It’s a very good bike for distance.

The stock screen is a tiny joke. If you have a huge screen, it’s not the original. I’d look for an original screen. They come up for sale often.

I ordered Yamaha city cases for my 2022. I love them.

There’s been no plausible indication that they’re discontinuing it, at least in our market. But any sizeable reduction in sales (from the EU or other regions) makes me concerned as to how it might affect profitability and the longevity of the model. Luckily, I have a 2022, so I should be good...

The versus feels way lighter. It doesn’t feel like a 1000cc bike. Very smooth, but much less wind protection, and not as stable at speed. If you’re primarily solo and don’t do a lot of highway at speed, the versys is a great bike. It could never be my lrimary. But they’re very nice.

Stock levers?

I considered FZ mirrors. I ended up finding motech mirror extenders to solve the view problem while keeping things aesthetically pleasing.

They work. They just aren’t nearly as effective once you move the grips up and back.

I found the knuckle visors to be helpful, but I use a helibridge, and needed something closer to the bars in their artificially rearward position. So I switched to barkbusters. Nice information about the foot shields.
