    New motorcycle podcast

Been keeping busy, ya know? Livin' life, getting by :) How's by you? We used a similar format to MotoCast if you remember that one. In fact, Prubert was a recent guest. :yahoo:

2004 vs. 2007 (can you tell the difference?)

Here's my thing... I always say "if it runs, in good shape and it's not costing you much in repairs and maintenance, just keep it." That's what my head says. Then I go buy the new one, anyway. I'm a weak, pathetic excuse for a man :( But I got me a new FJR! :)

    Concourse 14 owners to be...

I'm sure the new Concours will be a perfectly fine bike. In gen-ii release. Just like any other new product... the market place will really show what needs to be tweaked. You should read Ancestor by Scott Sigler :) "That sure as **** ain't no cow!"

Convert an AE to an A?

The incredibly short friction zone takes a moment to get used to (compared to some other bikes), but it falls smack in the middle of clutch pull, so it's well balanced. The friction zone comes on after a reasonable amount of lever release, and the tension is OK. I do get a little crampy after 20...

    GHOSTRIDER WHEELIES

That might could be the most boring MC video ever.

Convert an AE to an A?

Lots of used '06s on the market. Wouldn't it just make more sense to sell the AE and buy an A used? If mine were paid off, I'd consider a trade... after an appropriate test ride of course. The AE really intrigues me and when I'm riding my Burgman I do *not* miss the clutch at all.

    connie priced

Well, that and the fact that it's a Kawasaki. Plus, it's rolling off the factory floor with several flaws and problems that will be addressed in the Gen-II version.

I follow this rule: Just live... 'cause life's too damned short.

Motorcycle Consumer News is going to poll FJR owners next month

I just filled mine out. All positive with the caveat that they could stand to smooth out the snatchy throttle.

    Another great FJR attribute

Yeah, I'm not sure I really understand the premise.

    Learned a little something today..

You can also use the Honda oil filter for the 4847289847 engines that it fits; use the one from the 1996 and up CBR600F4i, or the VT1100 Shadow engine. I bought a case last year and have been using them. They x-ref directly over.

    A head-shake question or two

Scab, very timely. I just took my V-Strom hand guards off and my weave-n-wobble front end settled down a LOT. And yes, the bearings being too tight could have a damping effect and slow down the oscillation without removing it, thus causing a slower (leading to more pronounced) wobble. Actually...

    Repair Wait Tirade

Could be worse. Could be a Ducati. PS... why is this in "off topic". If this ain't bike related (and, gee, Yamaha and FJR related), I don't know what is.
