As recommended, I only check my tire pressure when the tires are cold. This was not a problem when I lived in Wisconsin, but now that I live in southern Utah I am only able to check my tires early in the morning on below normal January days.

Once the word is out Yamaha and dealers are going to have lots of Gen II shocks that they can't sell.

It would definitely be worth the little time it takes to remove it. Anything that gives even a little extra space would help.

Most any hardware store will have it. Amazon also has a good selection. It comes in various colors if that matters to you. If you are trying to make a kind of strain-relief using it, you'd have to apply several layers and I'm not sure that would help much. I've used it more for connections...
