    FJR rackday tires

I've already given my recommendation on tires so I'd just like to add my primary reason for trackdays... FUN!

    need new tires

My bike came to me with almost new BT023s. They have been fine, but will be replaced with PR3s. I've gotten great mileage out of PR3s, and the handling has been top notch. They are even mounted on my Ducati which I'm in the middle of prepping for a track day on Sunday in Pahrump.

    2006 Rear Rack $30.00 shipped

I received the original rack when I purchased the bike which had a Givi mount and bag included. It has just been sitting in the closet so I may as well offer it to someone who can use it. As you can see, it even comes with the hardware to mount it. Send me a PM if interested.

Leather Chaps (ladies) on the FJR? my G/F is wierd@!

As mentioned, overpants would be good, but be sure to get the ones with the full or almost full length zippers and as attractive as possible. Let her see how easy it is to get in and out of those as you get off the bike and before you go into the restaurant or other area. Getting a pair for...

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

I'm glad you found what works for you. I had used that technique since I bought my FJR and it does work.

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

In my first post I mentioned that I had used this technique and why I was looking for a better solution.

I need a new LED torch (flashlight) - opinions?

The Streamlight Survivor was designed for the fire/rescue service. It is hands down the best light I've used. It does not have the ability to switch from flood to spot, but I never felt the need for this feature. For sweeping the yard you'd be hard pressed to find a light better suited to the...

    FJR rackday tires

I was so impressed with the PR3s I put on my RT that when I had to get some tires for my Ducati for a track day I went with the PR3s. I was very pleased with their performance, and while they did chunk up a bit, it was not excessive. The side benefit is that you will have a good tire for...

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

Played around with the 'aid' a bit more this morning and you can save some money by just getting the nipple. The connector has a wider id, but the id of the pipe/nipple is large enougn to just fit over the foot tab.

    Givi V47 LED Light Install

The admores are definitely pricey, but the circuitry included was cool. On the E55 there were 6 or7 LEDs per side. They were a nice bright red when tail lights turning to a bright red that pulsed when the brakes where first applied. The pulsing would not repeat until the brakes went unused for...

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

After reading some of the posts of those close to my weight I spent some time analyzing what is different between my FJR and RT that makes the FJR so much more difficult. It turns out that my problem is the result of the aforementioned issues with my elbow caused by the rheumatoid arthritis...

    Givi V47 LED Light Install

That's too bad. The Admores for the E55 had some really cool features.

    Givi V47 LED Light Install

The V47 is really different from the E55 I worked on this weekend, but I'd just like to mention the AdMore lights were really a nice addition to the E55. Definately worth the extra money over the Givi lights.

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

Good point. I've found that when I get off after a very long day in the saddle it is not a good time to pop it up on the center stand.

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

I'm only using the center for maintenance and when I want a little extra room around the bike when it is in the garage. Not sure what was the difference on the 2013, but they definately pop up with less effort. I've got some significant loss of movement in my right elbow and wrist as a result...

    Center Stand Technique (SPLIT)

The bike hasn't been lowered. The rear tire is a 180 55 17. I've got the technique down but come up just a little short weight-wise. I've seen the video several times, but the rider in that video is much heavier than me, and the bike is on a slight incline making it even easier. It is pretty...

Grease leaking under the Triple tree ?

Grease, oil, and other bike fluids have a way of migrating due to surface tension and wind flow as you ride, and a little grease can spread out to seem like more.

    Problems parking on slope

Good advice already provided, (with an obvious exception) but also keep an eye out for sand and other loose material where you park.
