My FJR has left the garage

Amen to life being to short to put up with pain when you ride. Find the position that works for you, regardless of the type of motorcycle. And a hearty welcome to Girl on the Go. How do you do with the seat height??

    First Ride 2012

I am just delighted that we got out to ride in January. It has been an odd weather year in the beautiful Willamette Valley, with almost no rain in December, none in January until two weeks ago when we had record rain. Fog, freezing fog and snow have rounded out the weather offerings and any...

    Because WE can

Thanks for the ride report. Hard to believe there is no snow up there yet. Keep posting "because YOU can" since I haven't had a winter of unriding like this since I started riding...must have my ride fixes!

    Because I can.

Ride to eat because you can...and thanks for taking me along with you. Great pics there; I have GOT to get down there and ride some time.

    California Central Coast

Great post. Three inches of rain in two days. I really needed these pics!

Looking to buy an FJR - Advice?

Love my 05, extremely farkled. You've come to the right place to learn about the FJR, however. There are guys here who have forgotten more than I'll ever know. One thing I do know: You'll enjoy the FJR!

    I need to vent.

Like Tyler said, find your place of peace with riding, and come on back!

Quick Jaunt to the Oregon Coast

Stock seat, as is. So far, so good!

    Seasonal Traffic Hazard

Only saw shoppers running amok today; no trees going home yet. We must do it different in Oregon!

Quick Jaunt to the Oregon Coast

When the forecast was for 50 degrees and no rain, I knew the time was right for a motorcycle ride. I had every intention of taking my V-Star, while Karyn rode her FJR...but that FZ1 whispered sweet nothings, and so he got the nod. We went to Heceta Head lighthouse, and took our very first tour...

Well, I'm back in the saddle before I thought I would be...

Nice find! Now, for the weather to cooperate...

Our Fall Rides & Nature Photography

I think you need to ride to more locations and practice your photography more...and post the pics! Very nicely done; I really like your composition and the eye you have. Keep 'em coming!

The feel of my "new" FJR

My current ride is an 02 Gen 1 FZ1, and we just picked up an 05 FJR for my partner. I have noticed the same things about the handling...I have not been diligent with the tire pressure, however. :guiltysmiley: I will try checking that next ride. I also suspect a trip to GP is in our future...

    Joining the club

I completely understand the "First Time Wow" factor...and the smiles still aren't removed...although, now that the cold, rain, and wet leaves are here, maybe the smile will fade a bit. Happy FJR!

    Remembrance Sunday - UK Memorial

We had good weather for our Veteran's Day event. I play in a tuba group that was invited to the Creswell, OR (pop 5000) VFW event. The first is of the group. I am grossly out of tuba uniform, but in the "uniform of the day" for my day job... This is the picture where our ensemble veterans...

    Progressive/Seattle Motorcycle Show 2011

If I don't end up with a tuba gig, we'll probably come up for this. I should know more in a week or two.

    Fall Colors, Trial Post

The Duc belongs to the woman at the far right in the picture. She had the bike lowered by a fellow in San Jose. Joan and Patty (Joan is dark complected; Patty took the picture) ride two up on the Roadglide; Joan's other bike is the new Kawi 1000; she and Carolyn ride together a lot.

    Fall Colors, Trial Post

So, since it seems that I can do this photobucket thingy. The short story of how we got to buying an FJR is that we got our endorsements in 2003. Karyn's Mom had just died at the age of 61 with way too many of her bucket list undone. We agreed that we weren't going to do that, and one of our...
