Looks like Cycle World approves of my new aquisition. I have put almost 1K miles on it the first month...well, the family has. I haven't gotten to ride it much.

Well said, Tyler. Been living this lately. Just this year I have had 4 LEO friends die: one in a firearms accident, one from lymphoma, one from leukemia and one killed in the line of duty. Thanks for the reminder. Even as an FNG here, I appreciate y'all.

Well, we picked up the FJR yesterday. Kouba links to 7/8", front forks 1/2" and the handlebar raisers that bring them up and back. Plus the stock seat that we got from John. I can flat foot her now, Karyn is solid on the balls of her feet. Center stand will be useless unless our guy can take...

Since the "new" bike came with a custom seat, I'd like to get a stock seat to "recustom" for the 27" inseam challenged rider. The seat does not have to be in great shape...

Thanks to all the responses so far...the Mrs. won't log on to any of the forums, so this is just me... I am suspecting that a trip to Redding might be in order, unless we buy a stock seat to have redone. Anyone have a stock seat for sale?? Ally

So, on our "new to us" 05 FJR, there is a custom seat (sorry, don't remember the name of it, made in Redding CA). The bike is primarily for my wife, who is 5'4" and has a whopping 27" inseam. Our first thought had been to start with the seat, but we discovered that even with the seat off...
