    Grounding Harness

Broadie, I appologize for the misunderstanding. Your post is most informative. I thought that was what happened (the bike had to be on). I am still in for the harness and I will look for your PM. I still am amazed that Yamaha would issue the bike's electrics like that.

Adjusting CO levels GEN II vs. Barbarian Mod

Thanks to you all. I better understand now. I will get the dealer to make the changes. IF there is a noticeable change worthy of a post, I'll update.

    Grounding Harness

showstopper, Add me to the list as deferred - 30 days probably - maybe less, but count me in. Also, has this issue been known to cause fires? I ask as I have my FJR in my garage. I DO NOT want my house to burn down. Does this issue arise ONLY when the bike is on(ie riding)? Thanks!

Adjusting CO levels GEN II vs. Barbarian Mod

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone had a new ECU installed on an 07AE? Did it negate the need for the Barbarian Mod and/or a Power Commander?

    Garauld's reservoir-mounted radar detector bracket

Just sent PM! Looks great to me! And I was wondering how to redo my quick radar detector slap on job just last night.....

Adjusting CO levels GEN II vs. Barbarian Mod

Just performed the throttle center spring unwind and the Barbarian Jumper Mod. The center throttle spring was one (1) unwinding. All the effort and then I hear 'click". The Barbarian Mod was easy too. Had to wait almost two days to ride which I did yesterday. Wow! Those mods along with a G2 and...

    FJ1300RT Reverse Trike Concept

nofreeride, I like your second CAD version better. Have you calculated the weight distribution F/R, and weight as taken at each wheel? I wonder if nitrotate has done this as well? In his video, the wheel spin is crazy! (Granted - no CT yet and he does have a wing). You mention power to weight...

Brand new 2008 idle problem + oil

I tried the link provided and it requires a login and password. Can you please explain what it said? Maybe a cut and paste into this forum? Thanks!

    Question on surround sound system

Alexi, I am very well versed in this area. Yes, you can mix and match. The driver charactersitics of each speaker will produce different "sounds" so just going small or large for that matter, is not really the question. It's "What type of sound am I looking for?". I have and have had quite a...

    Ultimate FJR Tire Combination Discovered

I found your post interesting and I thought your approach made perfect sense. Can you describe your riding style? Aggressive, sporting, cruising, 2 up, or average etc..? I ask as I have been reading alot of the tire threads and it seems everyone has an opinion. I like to ride in a normal mild...

    VFR1200

I was in a dealership yesterday that sold both Yamaha and Honda products. I sat on the VFR1200. It is a beautiful machine. However, my rear end told me in less than 15 seconds that this was no bike I would want to spend time on. One could add a new and better aftermarket seat, but that just adds...

    G2 Ergonomics Vendor Participation

Ashe, Now that is exactly what I'm talking about. Great Input. Gary has said he is committed and I hope others like you will offer input not only here but directly to Gary too. Thanks!

    G2 Ergonomics Vendor Participation

Hello all, As you may be aware, I have just recently purchased a new to me 07AE. I too have had issues with jerkiness, abrupt throttle opening, and smoothness. After researching the issue on this forum, I purchased a G2 Ergonomics Throttle Tube for the FJR and it has made a world of difference...

    First ride on my FJR

Bradman, You had asked how to train yourself to take weight off your hands. First, I had the same problem. I installed a G2 throttle tube and it helped a hell of a lot. I also, like you, moved my handlebars to the rearmost position. That did wonders! Now train yourself to take weight off of...

    "Vibration" While Turning/Leaning Left

Thanks for the comments again. And I just read the Never Ending Thread on CT's in "Darkside"! So much to consider, but I would agree with the concensus that it is the tires.

    06AE FJR for $10,600?

If it were me, I'd pass and find a GEN II model with low miles - say below 5K. Also of note, I just bought one that way and got a very good deal. I was not a member of a local credit union here (Sharefax), but after the purchase - and financing - I most definitely am! I was able to get 4.5% on...

    Going to the Dark Side

I've been up since 3am EST this morning and read this thread from page 73. I now know that I will probably have to go back and read the whole thing. There seems to be some concensus on the CT/Darkside thing. Of course I followed all the links - especially the videos - Great Job! But I must say...
