Think I found my vibration problem

Wow! One more example I own a quality torque wrench. I go over my bike before I ride. Not with the torque wrench, but checking lights, bolts, fasteners, etc... Just like I would do a preflight check before going flying. Come to think about it, it's exactly like that - save for the fuel sampling...

    FJR1300AE Shifting

I installed the G2 Ergonomics throttle tube for AE FJR's yesterday. Mind you I had grown really adept to low throttle input, shifting, etc. and I had become smooth. (It's not easy, but it can be done). Then after installation I went for a half day ride. Wow! What a change. I definitely recommend...

Garage door remote taking up too much space

Looks great! I was trying to address the same issue. Sears has "minature" remotes that would work, but the glovebox is pretty cramped. Your idea looks like a winner. I'll have to look into this. Thanks!

    The best sport bike?

My favorite - Suzuki GSXR750 - I jumped on this when first introduced and Suzuki rocked the sportbike world. They keep getting better and better. However, when not on the track - the FJR. (I used to race my GSXR against FJ1200's on the local NHRA track. I won more than lost, but he was more...

    Got an F4i

I had a F4. Hated it. Small. Great acceleration and brakes but PSYCHOTIC - Steering is twitchy. I could not trust that machine carrying speed into sweepers and decreasing radius turns. Made me miss my favorite bike, my GSXR750. Suzuki does sport so freakin' well. My FJR is a natural progression...

    2010 Kawasaki Concours 14 Review

I love my FJR. I want and plan to buy another one. If Yamaha doesn't step up soon though, then Kawasaki (or BMW) just may earn my business. Yamaha - please learn from Kawasaki and its owners AND this forum.

    Jerkiness

Tercol58, I just bought an 07 a little over 3 weeks ago. I would do it again. It does have an issue with low throttle input, BUT if the bike's fuel injected (FI) and the FI responds in a discrete manner (i.e. ON/OFF) then it makes sense that this happens. Think about it. "Ignite" 145 horsepower...

Tire markings on a Pilot Road 2B

Thank you for the reply. So we are agreed though? Michelin PR2's with the "B" ply rating. Expense - OK. Another set of tires that "cup" - NOT OK. Agreed?

Tire markings on a Pilot Road 2B

Hello all, After reading this thread I did learn quite a few things - BUT... I need to get tires ASAP. I am planning on ordering Michelin Pilot Road 2's with the "B" ply designation. That said, I became confused. Did all agree that the PR2's are THE tire to use for both wet/dry grip AND...

    FJR1300AE Shifting

There are numerous posts on the G2 tube on this forum, just perform a search. And go here: https://g2ergo.com/shop/catalog/G2-Tamer-Th...Yamaha-223.html Also FYI... I was out riding almost all of yesterday (Saturday) in the beautiful crisp fall like weather here in the Cincinnati area. I...

    FJR1300AE Shifting

I have had my 07 AE for about three weeks now and agree. DO NOT close the throttle all the way. I found what works best (for me) is to use the foot lever to upshift. My right hand seems to know what to do in that scenario. Downshift with either. Once you are "in the zone" and do not think about...

    helmet lock

Thanks to all who posted. It's funny. I bought this bike and inspected every millimeter of it before riding. I thought I was crazy. A motorcycle this advanced and no helmet locks? I checked the manual - nothing. I thought it was so obvious that they did not even print it. I then checked here and...
