I just installed Garaulds' radar mount. It's the cats meow! Excellent fit & finish, simple but effective. I highly recommend it. Leaves more bar space for RAM mounted stuff.
Thanks Gary
Great Pics of peg down 2 up!!!
Can you tell me what the back rest and tail bag are you have and how she likes the back rest? It looks like premier cycle accessories. What is the tail bag model.
Thanks

ok, I had the shop look at it when I had a new tire put on. Who knew the left and right sides were different? duh! That's why it wouldn't engage, 'cause they were backwards installed by ME!
Works now, thanks for all your support!
I always learn alot on this forum, I love it!
I replaced my OEMs with Iridiums last week and no I can't tell a difference, but I don't have to feel it to know it works! It's interesting to see how far you can go without a change, but at $40 a set, I couldn't care (watch me get flamed for that...
I ride in 80's with the T2. It all depends on your windshield. When I moved to the calsci windshield it took care of the wind on long rides but I cook even with a t shirt underneath. For local driving I put on the stock screen and the T2 vents are full of air, but the stock would have killed my...
I did it myself last night in 5 minutes using the shop manual. I adjusted the cable near the throttle, as FJRPierre showed in his pic.
Do it your self!
i dropped mine in my garage thinking about the kids toys on the floor in front of me. I turned off the bike and leaned it over to get off, only to realize I hadn't put the sidestand down. It landed on its' frameslider (thank you!!!) and the side bag, which has a nice streak of John Deere paint...
So are you saying that on the highway you have a allen wrench and are tightening while driving, then untightening when into city traffic? Is that safe? I thought the throttlemeister was supposed to screw itself tighter as you rotate the bar weight, thereby engaging the friction. Then rotate...
I searched the board but couldn't find the right post already so at the risk of getting flamed, here goes!
Ok so I installed a throttlemeister but am having problems with the tension. The instructions says the throttle lock should engage by rotating the lock. I can't get the tension correct...
I bought a 2004 in Oct 2009 with 30000 miles on it, non ABS for $5250. What I have found was that the rear rotor is warped due to not cleaning the rear brake pistons and the piston putting constant pressure on the rotor, heating it and warping it. I did a full brake drain, disassemble, cleaning...
$274 yr full coverage, $1000 deductible, with progressive. Home and auto and snowmobiles are with West bend Mutual, they wouldn't insure the FJR, it's on their black list according to the agent.
