    iPod Holder

Same here. I keep the controls facing outwards so I can navigate the play-list I'm currently in (rewind, fast forward, pause) and then I use a small volume control dongle I picked up at Radio Shack to control the volume (Link) through gloved hands. Would the vibration of the handlebars be good...

    First sub 30 degree ride

Sure do. Take 9 out of Canton -> 24 -> 474 ->74 -> 155 into Morton. And then the reverse on the way home of course. Occasionally I'll head home through Pekin and "swing through" Havana to get over the river, then head home. ;) Putting the tires on yourself or have someone...

    First sub 30 degree ride

Got the FJR out of storage last weekend, today is the only day I don’t car pool, and I’ll be dammed if a little bit of cool weather is going to keep me from riding to work (and enjoying the 50 degree early afternoon ride home). Got up and it was 27 out, figured what the hell… between the heated...

    Sheepskin Deat Pad Group Buy

Picked up a charcoal one a few minutes ago. Thanks Howard! Note: Had some issues placing the order while using Firefox, but IE worked fine. Not sure if it was a timing issue or an issue with their web page.

The Snell Foundation takes another shot to the chin

Thanks for the links TC. I'll have to keep this in mind as the liner on the ol' Shoei RF-9000 is starting to show its age.

AGirl's 2009 "FJR Fall Full Circle"

I think I just found another website to look at when I'm supposed to be working, awesome pictures and reports AGirl. Keep up the great work, and stay safe out there.

    Garauld (on this forum)

+1 to everything said here. I recently purchased a gen 1 backrest from Gary and the quality blows my mind (my wife couldn't believe it was "home made"). Thanks Gary!

Saw bad M/C wreck on the way to work this morning.

I’ve never seen a motorcycle accident happen, but I have been first on scene to two now. Both of them were deer strikes… an older man and his wife, wife was ok (hysterical, hadn’t even called 911 yet) the man had to be life-flighted and faced MONTHS of recovery, but is doing just fine now (and...

Very cool, thanks for the link (18/20 and 19/20).

    Scotty's 3rd annual Tenderloin ride

I love me a good tenderloin, just had one yesterday at Kutters in Quincy, IL. One of the my favorite culinary delights of the Mid-West (my other favorites for this time of year being fresh sweet corn.. like walk out back, pick a few cobs, and toss them in the pot fresh).

CAT D9T dozer vs highway overpass

Thought some of you guys and gals might get a kick out of these... I really wish we would have gotten pictures of the overpass too, but alas we have none. D9T trailer’d on a semi was leaving the local CAT dealer in Peoria, IL when the driver tried to take it under the Pinecrest overpass...

    FJRs, Harleys, and the Beartooth

I’ve put around 500 miles on my father-in-laws Heritage Softail, another 1,000 on his 883 Sportster but still fell in love with the FJR as soon as I sat on one. Glad you found a bike you both can enjoy. As long as you’re on two wheels and having a good time, it’s all good IMO.

    Foot enlargement..

I'd be in for one. I also like the clean look w/o washers.

    New Industrial Strength Ignition Key

Very cool, but I think it would be too much in the pocket for me.

    It’s just not fair…

Very happy to still have a job. Company of 55 went down to 35 4 months ago, glad I missed the axe. Weather has also been pretty good here in central IL, can't complain about that. Keep your head down and come home safe, thanks for everything you are doing over there. My cousin just got home...

    It’s just not fair…

…that I only get to spend 45 minutes on the feej, then I have to come inside and sit at my desk for 9 hours before I get to ride ‘er again. Anyone else think this is a travesty? I guess you could look at the upside and say at least I got to ride today… even if it was just to and from work.
