Chrome allen head screws, plastic rivets

So what would be the proper size from either of the links? 6mm, 8mm?

Bike running one bar lower on temp gauge

Glad you are OK. Bikes can be replaced, human body parts are hard to come by. And just remember "karma guy" what goes around comes around.

    Oil changes

The nicest thing I can say is a search would have provided hours of reading on this topic. And that is any Forum concerning cars or bikes. I just bought a new Honda Accord Coupe little six speed. When I joined that forum I did a search on what oil. Since we are using 0-20W I was very curious...

What would you pay for a low mileage 2008

So what did you pay? We promise not to laugh or cry.

    Oil Level "Growth" Circumvention

I have never seen such a cluster bump over checking oil! WOW is it really this hard? I mean you fill to the top of the sight glass on the center stand. You take it for a run, bring it back, put it on the center stand check the sight glass after 10 minuets and add if needed. I am totally...

Looks like they do now :-) Happy you got sorted out and are riding happy again.

Bike running one bar lower on temp gauge

Well who is to say the two are related? Just because two things are happening does not mean they are because one or the other. The stumble may just be a TB sync issue, a wet plug, a loose plug wire, or a pulled wire from the plug cap, split cap on the vacuum ports, or any number of things...

Bike running one bar lower on temp gauge

Well I can see the OP point. My 10 has run at 4 bars since new. Now we all know what our normal bar is at and when we get on it and get stuck in traffic and any other reason we run hot. But as a norm mine runs 4 bars. At 2 years I had it flushed at my shop. When it came back 5 bars was the...

    Holy ****!

I would avoid the dealer and find a machine shop. The experience of a machinist versus a Dealer is a no brainer. They are gonna want to sell you a FD. Ypu could buy a hand tap and a cert and do it yourself. No way I would pick a dealer over a machinist.

    Wiring Question - 2010 FJR

You have to buy the light kit to get the tap in kit. Says so on the bottom of the page. I tapped mine on the right hand side out of the ECU. Was really easy and I was using it to trigger my Fuze Block.

LED Replacement Lamps for Tail, Brake and Turn Signals

I can say the LED kit in my Givi is the bomb. One of the main reasons I went with a Givi. I do not think brake and running light replacements are ready for prime time. I do hope by the time I need to replace any on the FJR that there are some that work but who knows? In the mean time Hyper...

    Forkoil leaking from compression adjustment

Sorry miss read it all. I just turned them all the way in with a light touch listening for the clicks. Once all the way in I backed mine out 9 turns as instrucked and been that way for 26,000 miles. I have no idea what it up with yours leaking.? Did you turn it all the way in to seat it and...

    Forkoil leaking from compression adjustment

There is a o-ring in there so it could be pinched or something? Could be cross threaded. You are going to have to take the adjuster off and look. I am not sure how it would leak even without the o-ring but that would be my first thing. Just pull it off and look what is up. Can not remember...

What did you do to your FJR today?

My girl and I went to Pittsburgh to seem my parents who live in MARS, PA. Me on the FJR, her on her 650 Suzuki Savage Thumper. All Back roads from Harrisburg PA to there. 260 miles. We head home in a few hours. Nice ride. And the 650 is a pretty cool bike for her, after 16 years still...

Yamaha will change the world, well, the sport motorcycle world that is.

Please let us know what your dealer says. I am not sure if my dealer was confused or not. He had just come back from a show and was pretty excited about all the new Yamaha stuff. Either way it is a steal and I think I will put my ass on one as the weight to power ratio is what I am looking...

    2008 rear abs sensor stuck

You are correct. That tidbit was from here:https://www.fjrtech.net/getdbitem.cfm?item=31 I also used 400 grit paper on the mating surfaces to help rid it of any oxidation. I use just a very small amount on the mating surfaces and less on the sensor proper. It does not take much. I am not...

K&N Air Filter long-term side effects

I have run a K&N air filter on every car or bike I have had in the last 10 years. Never an issue. You can mess up re oiling it but it becomes pretty easy too tell when enough is enough. Clean it, it dries white, spray it let it sit in the sun and check the inside and out for any white marks...

    2008 rear abs sensor stuck

I have used lithium soap grease on it since new. When I remove it I put a little on and reinstall it. Mine always come out by hand with no fighting. I did have to look in the shop manual when I took them off the first time and it does say to lightly grease them. I guess we just have to pay...
