    Have backrest, what bag options?

I'd love to see the pics! This sounds like the ideal setup for my needs. I see the install calls for standoffs, did you just use the pirates lair bracket in lieu of the standoffs?

Thanks! Are the plugs for the ABS in the same location on the 2013 and later models? Just under the dash cluster on the right hand side?

    Have backrest, what bag options?

No luck on the stiffy, Gerauld is no longer making them. I have some diagrams but I gotta see if any of my welding friends feel up to the task. Having never purchased any type of bike luggage, who are the companies to make semi-soft luggage that are considered the gold standard?

    Have backrest, what bag options?

Are you referring to Yamaha part number 1MC-F48D0-V0-00? I saw that on their website but they only list 2013-2023 years as compatible.

    Have backrest, what bag options?

I just bought a 2010, it came with a Pirates Lair backrest which has its own mounting bracket. I two up with the wife, she's pretty partial to a backrest. Since the OEM mount area is gone, what are my options for a tail bag now? Do I need to make a custom shelf to bolt over the tail to the...

Well, I gave the FJR a tall drink of fresh dot 4 fluids and extracted this nasty truck stop coffee from both brake systems and the clutch. All three systems seem much happier. I will be doing the clutch plunger when I get home with the grease. There is some bad scoring on the bushing so I...

OK, getting ready to get started here. Can someone recommend a waterproof grease? We talking high temp bearing grease, dilectric grease, brake caliper grease? Any of the above as long as it's grease??

I watched the video on the brake bleed process for the linked rear, and clutch by "the told mechanic" on YT. Seems pretty stright forward and should take an hour or less. I have no found a video on the clutch bushing, is this a pivot bushing that the clutch handle rotates on or some other...

Thank you! I was smitten by the color. Very close to my first bike a Kawasaki Ninja 500R back on 2006. The damage is pretty superficial and hard to spot. The broken luggage will probably be the hardest to fix as the rear tab is broken off the box so I expect it will need replaced I don't...
