I'd offer to help ya, but I'm in Abilene. Haven't done a valve check on an FJR but have on two seperate crossplane R1's within the last 2 years. The concept is probably the same with bucket over shims. I'm retired so have the time, but don't drive to the metroplex unless I absolutely have to.

SO grateful I'm retired now and don't gotta worry about any of the logistics with that plane. They'll be coming here to Abilene, TX (Dyess), but will be nice to see them flying overhead whenever they do.

I don't know anything about this particular shock, but if Traxxion is selling them... they gotta stand behind them in some form or fashion. For around $400, it'd be worth a shot. I just spend over $500 to get my Penske rebuilt...
