    Looking for a switch...

It seems persistant checking has paid results. If one looks on the Power Commander site and into an area called 'Multi function Hub', the correct switch and bracket required for toggling between maps can be found! The 'hub' is for heavily modded systems and gizmos (a technical term), but at...

    Looking for a switch...

This link seems to have a switch that will do fine. Wires will have to be extended, but that is simple enough. :yahoo: https://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Switches/switches.html

    Looking for a switch...

My much better half has ordered me a Power Commander V , and I would like to obtain a switch that I can attach to my bars to toggle between the two main 'maps' I will have. The web site for DYNAJET shows a picture of one, but the is no mention on how to purchase same. Their web site has been...

    AIS replacement caps....

I need to post here as well.... Recently, while racing around the many forums relative to the FJR, I saw photos of caps engraved with FJR that someone has made to cover the holes left when the Air Induction System is removed. Due to brain damage brought on by old age, I cannot locate this...

    Windscreens

Thanks folks.... Looking at the calsci tint with a grin that will tick off "management"! :assassin:

    Windscreens

In my never ending desire to spend money on my FJR (Management's words!), I have been reading about the VStream. While I do not have any serious buffeting issues,"management" grumbles when we ride two up. Anyone wish to comments about their experiences withe VStream? Is it larger, smaller or...

    WCR 2011 Dates?

As I sit being punished by 38+C temperatures on the beaches of Huatulco, Mexico, :coolsmiley: I cannot help but wonder when this rally will happen?? "Management" is well and CFR is just not at the right time for me, sooooo????? :bike:

    Help for Fast Joy Ride

Dave is obviously a good sport as well as a good friend as evidenced by the numerous replies on this thread. :fan_1: As a gesture of how impressed I have become, I have attached a link to Dave's snowmobile taken as he embarked on another adventure today! Enjoy!!!:nhl_checking...

    Help for Fast Joy Ride

While at Fast Joy Ride's 60th birthday party and after he opened his instructions for male DEPENDS and the "woody' someone whittled him (no kidding here), we all came to the conclusion that we will have to de-power his old FJR somehow. :construction: Can we take one, possibly two, spark plugs...

Rear wheel slip, was this "shaft effect"

Pavements may look alike, but everywhere can be different. Temperature, compaction and humidity can all have some say in how a tire grips the road. Suggest this is your event rather that any shaft issues. Maybe you were practicing for Motogp!

    Benifits of aftermarket brake pads

"If the hoses are of a smaller diameter it will result in faster flow through the smaller lines, but the volume of flow will be the same..." This is true. :) "The only way that the brake lines would ever reduce the lever travel is if the old ones were expanding under pressure." Why is this...

    Benifits of aftermarket brake pads

This is a slightly different way of looking at the results of steel brake lines. I changed lines on all four corners of my diesel pickup and could feel a small improvement at normal speeds. When towing, however, there was a good improvement in the operation of the brakes. :yahoo: A small...

    How Does The Fjr Compare?

Motorcycles are , of course, a personal choice, but you can definately count on the FJR for a great ride and easy maintenance. While I am an AGATT freak, I can suggest the heat shields by COBRA to help with any 'in heavy taffic' heat build up. My feet were getting a bit toasty in traffic when...

What outcome will these exhaust and air options bring?

Thanks to all who replied. I have installed (last fall) a fuel management device called TFI. It seems to be weather sensitive :angry2: and adjusts like a carb with three dials. After some trials I have a smooth and powerful delivery of fuel :yahoo: but fuel mileage is suffering. :o...

    Ama Barber

I think I may be lucky I cannot get your links to work Randy. Will this rider be able to ride again this year (one race left in this circuit, right?) or is he done for this year?

What outcome will these exhaust and air options bring?

Suspension is in the future although 'both ends' had not been considered, just the main. More to research. As to tire upgrades,,,,I WILL NOT start a tire thread....lol. I trashed the OEM Bridgestones in 8700kms and am now running PR2's. Thinking about trying a Pirelli derivative next...maybe..

What outcome will these exhaust and air options bring?

Sigh....You folks sound just like my own research results or worse yet, like 'management'! I was hoping that something was amiss in my research, but your comments indicate that several hundred dollars spent will NOT give extraordinary results. Fortunately there are still enough farkles to have...

What outcome will these exhaust and air options bring?

After todays ride, I tought I would ask this forum what they think the following additions may do to the overall performance of my GenII.... 1) Power Commander V 2) Two Brothers slip ons 3) Performance Air Filter My thoughts were to have at least three maps from the PC..... 1) Economy 2)...
