Thanks everyone, I know that all motorcycle dealers a completely honest and would never report a recall as having been completed if it was not (NOT!).  A dealer might be tempted to take the cash from Yamaha for the repair on a bike sitting on the showroom floor, but not actually do the work...

These questions may have been answered, but I didn't see it. If I buy a used or new old stock FJR, how can I be sure the recall has actually been performed? If I buy a used FJR from the dealer, is the tranny warrantied for some longer period of time? thanks for the info. -DL

It's a little after 9PM EST. Spot shows a gaggle near New Orleans, about 650 miles from there to Greenville. Probably another 10 - 11 hours riding ETA 8AM-ish if they ride through the night. My guess is that most have already been riding 10 or more hours in high heat and humidity. That's hardcore.

No offense intended to anyone, but I quit riding trikes when I was 6. Turned too sharp and high sided over the trikes handle bars.

I was thinking about getting a fender extender and/or a screen for the radiator. Will be doing LDR. I wondered if it was worth it. Has anyone experienced a damaged or obstructed radiator (stones, bugs, etc),.. or is it too rare an event to worry about? Thanks for your input. -DL

Previous owner of 2005 FRJ. Now I am coming back to the FJR and trying to decide between an A or ES. The stepper suspension is great engineering, but I got to wonder, is it worth the extra big bucks? I will be riding mostly solo. Thank for your input. -DL
