I searched but didn’t find an answer. I love the sound of this engine at higher RPMs. I hit 55mph in second gear and it felt like the sweet spot to shift. Is that too may rpms? I wasn’t paying attention to anything but the speed and couldn’t believe it…. What a Ride this bike is…….. BTW...

Bike is completely stock except for a power commander and after market slip-ons The tick I hear happens hot or cold, load or not.    I took a ride and have it nailed down to 2600 to 3000 rpms. And, I’ve read many posts about the tick. It seems the engine probably won’t suffer any ill effects...

Hello, My 2005 FJR with 20,500 +/- miles has a tick between 2500 and 3000 rpm. She’s nice and smooth otherwise. Should I be concerned? Im loving this ride and don’t want to screw it up.

Thanks! I just ordered the combo hex axle tool.    My FSM says it’s “18mm threads “ and I thought that meant an 18mm tool.

What size hex bit are you using to remove the axle? FSM says 18mm but I measured it and it looks closer to 20mm

Hello, My FJR seems to ride  and handle quite nicely. However, when I come to a stop, the front end dives. What can I do to lessen that?

Not trying to start an oil war but, the manual says to use 20w 40.    PO was using full syn 15w 50. Is that a problem?    I kinda think I know the answer (it’s not a problem) but I don’t know these bikes so take it easy on me please.😀
