    Im commited = Yes Going down to get a new rear tire in the morning. Both bikes need new rear's. Todays ride just started showing the under-layers in one spot on the FJR. Picked the FJR for the first new one. See you in Tel-me-cula...on Sunday. :clapping:

    Hope too! I have been riding the other V often (GF) and may as well ride the one in the garage too. I've been driving my 928 for the last 7 days. Time for a change.

    I like Big Bear and all, just not fond of slab riding on I-15 since I am at the SW corner of S.CA but riding with you guys is always fun.... Thanks Neil for the organizing......I may make it. I think I may have one more trip on my rear tire, need to check. Maybe need to ride the Vee. Mark

    What did you do to your FJR today?

    Checked out the bike and stashed some emergency stuff before tomorrow mornings all day ride in the desert and mountains. I will have a hard time falling asleep tonight. :yahoo:

    Bike Won't Start

    There is a recall for the ground spider issue I think. Free replacement from the dealer I heard? "FJRF009 - Intermittent Ground Wire Connection "Ground Spider"" I am sure someone very knowledgeable will chime in and help you out. Would be nice to read the code of the service light. Mark

    HEY LANNY!!!!!!!!!!! It is now Sept. 5, 2012 - So???????? My 928 after 1.5 years and 150 hours of learning, fixing, cleaning and polishing. Now time to meet up with the socal dudes for a FJR ride. Wheresssssss Johhny!

    Gen 1 starting problem when hot, fan running.

    I have had a hot start issue ever since I bought my FJR. Clock resets, hard to crank, etc...Always corrected with a new battery. I change the battery every 2 to 3 years as soon as issue rears its head. This has been discussed before for Gen 1. I think I remember reading about a ground...

    What did you do to your FJR today?

    Put my 2 yr. old grandson on the seat. He got pissed he could not reach the grips. He does where diapers as I shall in about 20 years or 20 days, depends on life, pun intended.

    April 14th, 2012 - NorCal meets SoCal RTE at Big Sur River Inn, Big Sur, CA

    Weird, I am planning to be in Big Sur Sunday night on the way home from Seattle bringing my daughters car back to San Diego. Last time I drove the same car to Seattle I stumbled into the same hotel for A FOG meeing in Eureka. I keep following all the FJR folks. Except I am in a car..... :o

    Great job! Impressive. I have a F150 and thought about doing just as you but you the man. Wow. Have to remember this thread. I wonder if you end up in a totally flat area, desert or Kansas, you may have to just go for it......

    Wow - a four day ride for a 1.5 hour lunch. You all are amazing. Wish I could join you all. When I retire, oops, if I can retire :angry2: I will look forward to joining many of these. :)
