AVCC install on '07 wiring questions

AVCC purple wire does indeed put out a small amount of voltage/current, as measured by my vom. 4 or 5 volts IIRC. Without voltage, the unit cannot detect ground. Unit needs to see ground to allow engagement. This weak voltage is brought to zero when grounded. Connected to the brake light...

HOW TO MAKE A BIG ONE OUT OF A LITTLE ONE

An amazing amount of engineering and an enormous collection of skilled tradesmen have to come together to pull something like this off. My stepson is training to be a certified welder for a shipbuilder, sent him the link.

What did you do to your FJR today?

I knew it was you! Your post helped me postpone this task, but I had the plastic off for other projects and the Spieglers kept calling from the bench. The brackets for the front lines was the hardest part, mostly because I'm picky. Modded the factory brackets, a little welding, they look almost...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Finished up installing a very nice set of Speigler braided stainless steel brake lines. Got them from a forum member here last year, still in the factory packaging and included Speed Bleeders. Got 'em cheap. I don't know who the hell posted that installing these were a big huge PITA, I'm...

    Close call... again

I'm sure glad I'm not reading a different outcome to this scenario. Sounds like a new pair of shorts is in order If the cager was texting she may have thought your Kristas were nothing more than the sun peeking over the horizon. I spend my days at work riding in the passenger seat of a bucket...

    What's the big "Gen1" Deal?

That would be assuming Gen II riders had them. Sorry, a door opened and.............

    What's the big "Gen1" Deal?

I got 3 words for ya: Galaxy Blue, baby! Can't get it any where but Gen1. As for refinements of the POS gen2, I don't need 50 extra lbs to be able to see what gear I'm in, or what the air temp is. I can count to 5 and don't need a digital display to tell me "it's hot", "it's cold", "it's juuust...

    On-Call

I'm on call every 7th week and this is my week. Bummer having to hang around the house and go nowhere but the $$$ can be pretty good. I work for a fairly large city maintaining traffic signals and lighting. Callout @ 2:30AM in winter for a knocked down signal controller = BHPITA. $195 min per...

    OEM Trunk

Good luck getting more than one helmet in the factory case. Two size L RF1100's won't fit in mine, not even close.

Buyers Flipping your good deal. Make you mad?

Maybe he's bumping the price up to give himself some room to bargain and recoup his expenses. That's my glass half full take on it. If he's here as a "member" taking advantage of good deals offered in the spirit of the FJR brotherhood, then profiting from his brethren, well..... I got a...

Seeking opinions/experiences of top box use with panniers

My experience is 130mph is about the limit, above that can be a little spooky. 120, no problem. this on superior Gen1, AK20's, Penske, newer PR3's. With stock 17k mi suspension I would hesitate to do 120 bagless or otherwise.

    El Cheapo home-made Smuggler?

BUDDY LIVES!!!!! I was so hoping for a different outcome than the one I imagined. Perhaps your ex could be placed under observation as a "Vicious Bitch". I think we all know what the results of that study would be. Say hi to her for me. The Buddy Bus rocks. May you and the li'l feller share...
