Having an 06 with 110k miles with minimal (no breakdowns) I can see someone being hesitant in buying a bike with high mileage if you don't know the owner or the maintenance history. You can buy a low mileage bike that has been trashed and end up with a lemon. Mileage is a flag to raise ones...
Ride it for a while before you do much more. You will be amazed at how much stuff you don't need. congrats on the purchase. I demo'd one a month ago and loved it but if I replace my 06 no one will know I got a new bike. lol
110k and runs like new. It has no value but I am sure I will get a few more years of trouble free riding. Bikes are not an investment with an eye towards a monetary return.
Bike came back detailed with full tank of gas, he installed a new gasket. Took it out today 250 miles running great, no oil issues, runs cooler than it ever did. Life is good. 110k miles and counting.
I was there a couple months ago and they said they sold the bike but they continue to advertise it. They generally have about a grand in extra fees plus tax and tag.
Next question, I also had new tires installed and their is oil over the lower fairing, hoses, rear tire, exhaust etc, any problems with the oil effecting the tires or hoses? Thanks again as usual you guys are awesome.
I just had a major service which included valve check, no adjustment needed, gasket replaced. Thermostat and plugs replaced. Now oil is leaking from right side. Mechanic picking bike up tomorrow. Anyone have any constructive thoughts? thanks Everett
I understand pics are important but I am unable to post them dues to my inabilities. If one would like pics I would be happy to email them upon request.
