I lubed my 2014 the last tire change and its fairly easy to do. And honestly you could run the bike for its entire life or the length of time you will own it and never check it and it will be fine. Its more for the anal, paranoid type like myself. lol

Its according to how much you want to spend. If money isnt an issue get newer. Like others have said you can get a used gen 3 for the price of the 2012.

Tcx gortex. Best boots i have owned so far. The most comfortable by far. Tcx focuses on boots. Thats all they make.

I bought a scorpion 920 last year and love it. I bought my daughter the same one after trying it out for about 10k miles. Ive had about all the major brands and the scorpion is great. It runs really small though. Modular is the way to go.

The speedo on my 14 is 2mph slow but thats close enough for me.

how does a 190 55 improve speedo accuracy when the stock tire is a 180 55? They should be the same height but a little wider correct?

I had a pair of Dainese Gore-Tex boots that the soles came off of after 10k miles. Dainese wouldnt do anything without the receipt so I wrote them off and said I wouldnt buy from them again. I scored a new pair of tcx gortex boots on ebay for $100. Thats a $250 pair of boots and they are a lot...

Or dont take the chance and sell them to me.... lol

Thats like the cigar factory in new orleans. You can watch them roll the cigars while you shop. Its a cool experience.

I have an older olympia jacket which looks the same as the airglide and I have airglide pants. The jacket is great but the pants knee pads always rotates to where they dont cover my knees without constant adjustment.I would recommend the jacket. Olympia makes good reasonably priced gear,
