    Slippery seat problem.

Um, I assume your insurance is going to have a chat with their insurance? And the responding officers immediately dosed you with Valium to keep you from killing the car wash worker bees?

    My ride to EOM

EOM? End Of Message? Equal Opportunity Massage? Extreme Overlord Madness? Executives Order Materials? Extremely Outlandish Mantras? Ethereal Otherworldly Meditations? It's all fun and games until someone's catheterized. :(

    Earplugs: just me?

The only plugs I have not tried are custom molded plugs. "Christmas tree"-shaped plugs from different vendors, foam plugs from different vendors... BTDT. They all work differently, but all of them varied from day to day, and all of them fit better on one day and not well another day. The...

    Slippery seat problem.

Easy answer here: Vinyl isn't leather. Each needs its unique care. :)

    Slippery seat problem.

IMNSHO, about the only fixes, leather being what it is, are re-covering with suede (blue recommended for Elvis fans), which has its problems, or finding different riding gear with grippy pants. Tank knee pads aren't a bad idea, but 200 miles of knee gripping gets old fast. I suppose Plan C is a...

First impressions of Neotec II w/SRL headset

The Shoei site's Neotech page says nothing about any certification. NTL I think it's safe to assume there is a DOT sticker. The page does not list Snell certification. Shoei builds very good helmets. IMHO it's the consumer's call on comfort with a modular helmet. Having owned a Schuberth C1...

    Earplugs: just me?

I have three different foam plugs in red, purple, and green and... some days they work well and don't irritate me, some days... Seriously, this is a good video about choices for ear noise control.

Mt. Washington - A Quick Day Trip

Interesting routing comments. We visited some friends who were in a cabin on Rangely Lake. Nice country indeed. The good news is "our" moose was crossing the road (on our way to Kennebec) during the day, not acting as a stone wall at night. NTL I get why moose at night are no joke. TNX

Moosehead Lake, Maine. Well, the ride started off good....

Peanut butter. Of course. At "oh dark thirty" I was about ask about the rubber bands around the middle of the can. Silly me (blind in one eye and can't see out of the other). ;)

The mice run up the board, jump for the can, it spins, dropping the mice in the bucket? [/ scratching head]

Mt. Washington - A Quick Day Trip

Ah, you rode on a Saturday. That explains the traffic that, as I said in the YT comments, would have brought me close to being homicidal. Or seriously tempted to ignore the yellow line in a couple of curves with great viz. Looking at a map, did you use US 2 from and to Wales? Assuming the...

First impressions of Neotec II w/SRL headset

How old is your wife's 20S? Mine will do music for 5-7 hours without a problem. I wonder if her 20S battery is fading.

    Ram Mount-Stable?

Double the sheet horizontally across the width of the sheet (along the long center line works too but it's a little harder to manage). Stuff the corners of the part just folded over, into the corners that weren't folded over. Fold the left-right edges over at the inside of where corners end...

    Tank bag suggestions?

Tankslapper says a 70% water / 30% alcohol solution is need to keep the Tankslapper film loose and easy to position. Do not use 70% rubbing alcohol!! It contains oils and perfume, all of which will discourage the films adhesion. Use 91% alcohol (also found in drug stores). It doesn't have...

    Ram Mount-Stable?

Hmmm... opposing corners... I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Tank bag suggestions?

Well. Nothing to say that wouldn't get me in deep trouble with #metoo. :) I will say that the bag is a bargain at $109 USD or $142 CDN. It's well made and has a number of useful details. Installing the attachment points was somewhat challenging, though. The bag works best at the back of the...

    Ram Mount-Stable?

Getting the tether over a phone's four corners will test the patience of a saint. Which means that the phone isn't going anywhere any time soon. :D

    Tank bag suggestions?

@barb Agreed that flipping a tank bag out of the way to gas up is annoying. But tank bags make a good place to have a map or route card in front of a rider. And it can also provide a dry home for a phone. This is the bag I use, and like.
