How many times are we going to hear about people getting rid of the "crappy plastic" bolts on the windshield? Why stop at replacing the screws with stainless? Just have a piece of sheet metal cut to replace the windshield. Maybe even serrate it to look cool. Also, might want to opt for that...

Regardless, if the condition of an item wouldn't be acceptable to you as a new item and it isn't actually defective (ie, the seller can return it to the manufacturer for a refund or replacement) you'll be hard pressed to find any retailer that will accept it as a return.
