    Question about Cee Bailey windshield

Harald, How wide is your C/B with the flip. I have the same dimensions as you. I had a +4wide +2tall w/flip for a while but it was too big. Maybe the width was the problem. Do you have a picture of your shield on the bike?

    awesome in ear speakers

I have them also and like them, they stay in place no matter how many times you take your helmet on and off.

Symtec grip heaters not hot enough!

Do you use the rocker switch that came with the grips? Also do you have hanguards? I ordered a heat troller, and for just $20 more I got them included with a set of the heated grips. I will install the heat troller first and if that does not help (otherwise not the switch causing the problem)...

Symtec grip heaters not hot enough!

I took off the switch and wired in the high heat wires (white) straight to the power lead wire, bypassing the switch completely (this was not permanent, just a test). I had the bike at idle for about 15 minutes and they did get hot in my 65 degree garage. I think I might get a heat troller and...

Symtec grip heaters not hot enough!

Wow, lots of great posts. I don't think it is a heat sink issue since I wrapped the clutch side in electrical tape before I installed and the throttle side is a plastic tube. The heat between the two feels even when they are on. I was using a gerbrings heated jacket, grip warmers, GPS and...

Symtec grip heaters not hot enough!

I installed the Symtec grip heaters under my grips (the ones you stick on your bars and then put the grips back over). I tried them out today with the day in the 40's and 50's and ran them on high all day. I had thin leather gloves on and I did not think they were hot enough. I even tried the...

    Boostaroo Amplifier

I use one with my Roady XT for XM with custom molded earphones. Sound from the roady was loud enough but sounded flat. The boostaroo improved the sound quality, better than having the custom earplugs hooked up directly to the Roady.

Cee Bailey's +2 +2 install w/pics comparing size, view, ride to stock

Glad you like my old shield. That shield was very similar to my yamaha tall for me, except it was wider. It was probably a little better full up than the yamaha tall but I like the slimmer design to get some wind at my sides as I usually ride with it down (no buffeting but noise). My calsci...

    FJR vs Vstrom

Thats what I did. I used to have a strom 650 and rented an FJR. Thats all it took. I really did not ride the strom off pavement much at all and the FJR is so much more planted and stable on the road than the wee strom (can't emphasis this enough). To me the FJR is much more comfortable (once...

Improve XM roady xt sound quality - how to do it?

I picked up a boosteroo today at radioshack. It does sound better when sitting still. When moving it is a little better (fuller sound) than without. I think this will work for me for now. If I use my calsci shield it is pretty quiet, the stock and yamaha tall have some noise but I can still...

Improve XM roady xt sound quality - how to do it?

I have big ear in ear headphones. They sound great hooked up to my Ipod. I just activated a XM roady XT that I used to use for a car. I plugged in the earphones to the XT directly with an inline volume control. The sound is very flat, not much bass at all (it was like this in the car when I...

Questions about running wires for Blue Sea fuse block

I ended up running the wiring harness between the tank and the foil. The holes on the left and right side of the dash where the tank meets them are just begging for wires to be run there. My harness was big as there are 10 wires running through it (2 are 10 gauge, 8 are 14 gauge). Its a...

Questions about running wires for Blue Sea fuse block

I have started my install of the Blue Sea fuse box. Here are my plans (some have already been done): The box will be switched via a relay. I will have a in line 30 amp fuse from battery to box. I will run GPS, Powerlet on dash, future heated grips, future cruise control from switched box...

fjr how is the heat compared to other bikes

I rode mine yesterday at 102 degrees. Yes you can feel the heat on your shins some but its not unbearable. The Gen 1 I rode did have more heat. My Vstrom was cooler but it was part naked and had less than 1/2 the horsepower.
