Looks like it will be a little under sprung for my fat can. I wasn't sure on the fitting. Will update my post :)

WTB - Low mileage OEM shock, any Gen

As the title says - mine is getting a little "soft". Looking for a low mileage stock shock. Any Gen will work apparently, so let me know what you got!

    Brakes get really hot!

Sounds like the hydraulic system is too full after installing the new pads. Just let a squirt out from the bleeders.

Announcing the How The West Was Won 2014 Colorado Rally

Bill is a good rally rider, and impresses me with his performance on that little Vulcan. He had the 3rd or 4th most efficient route of the riders.

    GPS Power Cord Question

The round piece on the cord is an RF/EMC choke. The DC to DC converter is most likely in the piece at the end of the cord as Twigg mentioned. You could open that up and connect the wires that go to the center (+) and outside (-) of the lighter plug to the power block though.

Just use a simple relay circuit. You don't want to add anything above and beyond the headlamps to the stock highbeam circuit. Just grab a 4 pin (SPST) relay from radio shack or any auto parts store. Tap into the highbeam wire for pin 86 on the relay. Pin 85 goes to ground. Pin 30 connects to...
